I recently switched phones. When I installed the Porsche good to know app, when I go to download the information it tells me this:
Porsche Taycan What happened to Good To Know App information? 1664870606083

When click the download button, it takes me to the App Store and gives this error:
Porsche Taycan What happened to Good To Know App information? 1664870664870

Evidently GTK app links directly to a country specific version from where the developer/contractor was in. But, I found the US version of it and installed it. In the My Porsche app however, I cannot find the GTK information anywhere. All I get is the current status of my build, and a bunch marketing fluff recommendations (none of which is the GTK information, I checked).

Where did the GTK info go?

Try to search it In the App Store.. The direct link is to another country download.

We see that a lot in Europe from apps from the USA, it's apple direct link system that is not working very well.

I had the same, GTK doesn't load 2022 manual here in the UK either, you get the same screen as you got.
My Porsche ony gives information when you have a car VIN set in it.

Is Porsche worried that people reading the GTK information too early (before VIN is assigned) might result in order cancellations? Or are they classifying it secret information only available to owners with a VIN - they don't want Tesla owners to know how Porsches work? ;)

Ever since the uPdate was released various things changed (that I noticed).

1. Manuals tab (Driver's Manual) appeared in the app (wasn't there prior)
2. PGTK App limited which version of the Driver's Manual you could load (presumably determined by VIN). I can't load any version of the Taycan manual post my model year and always directed to My Porsche App.
3. Driver's manual is accessible (along with videos) on My Porsche website once you have loaded your vehicle.

When the update to My Porsche came through, I wondered if the manual would - at last - reflect MY Porsche, rather than having to wade through all of the instructions pertaining to countries in which I do not live or options which I did not order. Alas no.

You may need to have the major software upgrade (uPdate) to your car applied first - not sure why but this was the trigger for me - if applied, try deleting the app and reinstalling. I'm an Android user but aware many Apple users in US for earlier MY cars may have got this feature sooner.

It will also appear on My Porsche App and My Porsche Website.

Thanks - uPdate on 17 October so I will know soon enough!

FYI, Porsche doesn't update Good To Know, I think last update was over a year ago. I haven't had access to GTK for my Cayenne in that time, they just do not support that app in any way. I always have my owner's manual in the car anyway, so easy to look up anything that way,

It is most definitely updated - take another look.

There are 6 different releases of the PGTK listed for the Taycan - from 2020 through 2022 (3 in this model year alone).

Around 21 listed for the Cayenne 2013 - 2022.

It doesn’t actually work for the Cayenne. When you choose your vehicle (mine is entered via VIN) it keeps taking you back to the screen to “choose your content”. I see there was an update to the app about 2 weeks ago, still doesn’t work for the 9Y0 Cayenne. Look at the reviews, I am not the only one it doesn’t work for. I think the Taycan and 911 may be the only vehicles with available owner’s manuals on there.

Yes I know but the point is that PGTK is regularly maintained rather than not. You will always get access to the most recent version relating to your VIN / MY.

Last year you could select different versions to review but that then changed.with no reason given.

Updates for your MY may appear in the manual tab of My Porsche App and in My Porsche Website.

Well, the 9Y0 Cayenne is the current model, even people getting new ‘22s cannot access it. Porsche isn’t that great at keeping their apps and software updated, which is just across the board. Still excited for my 4S CT, assuming it will actually get built in January (It has pushed back a month, I am guessing die to the 12v battery issue).

Do you / they have a VIN registered against your Porsche Connect ID as I think there may be a dependency here?

Yes, MyPorsche app works fine, GTK does not. VIN is showing in GTK, I have an EHybrid, but it shares the owner's manual with the regular Cayenne. My ability to access info on there has been gone for over a year, and that is pretty common among Cayenne owners.
