I wonder if this means that it will still be there when Bose is standard but not available to choose as an option, or whether it means they can’t get it for anyone?
And what price reduction or compensation will be on offer for Turbo/Turbo S customers if it is removed from their build as I suspect most would be unhappy with £1000
Back when there was a shortage of matrix headlights they were removed from the options list but were still fitted where they were part of the standard equipment.
I expect Bose is the same so will be fitted but will cause extra delay.

I messaged my SA to ask if he could shed any light on all of this. He responded today and stated that he had received a list from Stuttgart of vehicles which are going to have the Bose removed from their build. He added that it appears to be happening to base level models that haven't reached their freeze point.

He followed this up with another email to confirm that Stuttgart have stated my build (CT4S) will not be affected. For interest, my lock-in is scheduled for 10 October with a November build.

It does appear that the loss of Bose might be more country dependant than model dependant since, as far as I can see, it is UK base models only that are being hit however, Australia and Belgium 4S builds are also included?

More than likely Porsche builds these cars in batches for specific countries to simplify the logistics (a large carrier loaded with cars going to AUS all going on at once for example) and things like RHD vs LHD configurations. So just happens that during this shortage planned batches for those specific regions are going to get hit.

Hmmm. Need to check with dealer this week if my Turbo due to be built in 2 weeks will have Bose fitted…or not.
Apparently it is coming with Bose...and an elusive 12V battery. At least according to my sales chap. Bonus! :bandit:

Bad news is that production dates have slipped 5 weeks from 21 Oct to 25 Nov....

Dear Santa....?

Rather this then you get base audio and no 12V battery and the car just sitting

It looks like the UK configurator has removed the Bose option from the CT4, and RWD models (Burmeister options still available) but it remains an option for 4S models and above.

Yep - see my post above. The removal of the option seems to be for base models in the UK at present. However, there are reports of 4S models losing Bose in other countries.

Sorry - I hadn’t read the full thread!
My CT4S spec was locked in last month and has Bose. It is due to go into production in the next couple of weeks and the dealer had assured me that the Bose issue wouldn’t affect it.

No problem - I was being a bit lazy lol.
Good to hear everything’s going ahead with yours and with the options as planned.

My build is due to start next month but I suspect it could be delayed the same as simcity’s. Nevertheless, the excitement is definitely increasing again after such a long wait.

I went with rwd taycan so Bose option was optional. I had to resign paperwork and they reduced my price by $2.5k aud

not sure how they would calculate on an included speaker system. Turbo should have had burmester as standard as it so expensive as it is.

Burmeister is currently causing a stop sale on my Cayenne Turbo GT - so supply chain seems to be hitting some other models for Burneister.

Had the Stop Sale Bose call today from my SA. Asking me if I do to proceed without, or Pause until available

Car due for delivery in late Dec.

I’ve asked to test a car with and without the Bose system.

What model have you ordered and when is the build of it due to start?

Sorry to hear you've had the Bose removed from your spec but worth checking out the standard system in case it is ok/suitable.

My SA informed me on Monday that he had received a list from Stuttgart and was about to start calling customers with the news. He did say the list was all RWD and CT 4 models.
