Wonderful, glad I went with what was probably the most expensive charger on the market on the OPC’s recommendation! Mind you, it is the best looking by far… silver lining and all that! ?

Omg ….nearly ordered one the other day….was still deciding …that was lucky ….it was the 1 year warranty if your own electrician fitted and 3 years if they installed it that stopped me … now there is no warranty at all ? ?

Hopefully someone buys at least the server side equipment and continues to run it. Or it’s going to become an appless (dumb) Ev charger.

I was just about to order one a couple of weeks ago but after speaking to a few companies I've decided to go with the Hypervolt instead. Just waiting for dates to fit. Glad I made that choice now!

I bought a charger last week and it should be delivered around now. This is news to me. The survey was booked in for two weeks time. I've not had an email or any indication as to what is happening.

I have one, the app never worked for me anyways so used it as a dumb charger.
I bought it because I like the way you can wrap the charge cable around the charger.

I have one and been using it for my plug in hybrid for the year’s delay of my Taycan, original estimate at time of order was production 3rd quarter of October 2021.
My PHEV only draws 3.5 kW so I hope it still works fine at 7kW when the Taycan eventually arrives.

Well that will be a complete pain if the server side goes down as I wanted to activate the solar function when I have some solar panels fitted. If it becomes a dumb/appless charger that will be unfortunate as various bits of functionality will be lost.

Maybe Porsche could take over and run their servers. With their IT expertise... or maybe that's not such a good idea.

The app is still working normally this morning

For how long though?

I contacted AMEX this morning, and they've started a disputed charge and will credit my account back with the appropriate amount.

The question is now, which EVSE should I get instead? I have an Easee One at home (the Andersen was to be installed at my mum's house), which looks good and works well. I really did want the looks of the Andersen, however. Does anybody have any experience of this one?

https://simpson-partners.com

It is a product of the people behind the Andersen charger before they were ousted by shareholders. The customer service seems second to none, and you can get tethered or untethered. I'd go for untethered, personally, as most of the time it won't be in use. The personalisation available seems even better than the Andersen, and it's MUCH cheaper, starting at £649.

I just worry about getting one from a company that could be bankrupt in six months.

I had this on my shortlist earlier this year. Went with the Zappi in the end.
As others have said, I'm quite sure someone will acquire.
