Newbie GTS on order

Hey guys,

I have a GTS on order due for December delivery and can’t wait…. hopefully it will be a from me, to me Christmas present ?

Placed my order this June, allocation in July, just done my final spec with delivery in December, so I guess I’ve been pretty lucky reading lead times on the forum.

I’ve spec‘d the 4+1 seating with the GTS interior in Carmine red. All of the seatbelts are red with the GTS interior , but the addition of the 4+1 appears to only come in standard grey ?

Does anyone know how to option this to match? my sales guy is waiting on Porsche coming back to him

Surely there must be a way after all this is Porsche the option masters ??

Not sure but probably just a configurator display glitch as normally all seat belts come in the same matching colour.

Wow you ordered in June 22 and have a confirmed build for December - are you sure? My GTS order (to replace current 4S) was placed in January and I’m not expecting build slot until Spring now earliest / pretty sure others in UK are all the same…. So you’ve either been incredibly lucky, or your dealer isn’t being 100% truthful! Which dealer are you buying from?

That's not normal! If you ordered in June this year then December next year is even stretching it.

I ordered a GTS in August 2022 with a December 2022 scheduled delivery date. Moved back from Dec 9th to Dec 16th but dealer is still telling me that is likely. Production is scheduled to start on November 4th.

If the guys above have been asked to lock in their specs. then in theory their dates could be good.

If the guys are new to this forum, then they may well have been given allocations prior to them all drying up and the rest of us waiting until next month before we know if a car will be available next year or not.

And if they have history of orders with their dealer, then maybe they've been looked after. Which is fair enough.

But the way Porsche is handling this makes me think that they went to the same school of logic as the UK government..

Fortunate for Porsche that competitors are thin on the ground at the moment. May be unfortunate for Porsche that the mother of all global recessions looks like it's just round the corner.

Is this for a Saloon or a Sport Turismo?

There are a few of us on here who placed deposits for the latter on launch day (November 2021) and who had a letter of intent with the dealer before that, who are still waiting for confirmed orders.

Original delivery was expected to be Q2 23 but it’s been moved forward to December 22

There are a few of us on here who placed deposits for the latter on launch day (November 2021) and who had a letter of intent with the dealer before that, who are still waiting for confirmed orders.

I’ve gone for a Saloon, lead times ST were longer at the time.

I’m soooo surprised that people get a delivery in 6 months or so from order! Hopefully means that allocations might get sorted out by dealers soon.

We are on same exact timelines, I’m in the US. Do delivery dates seem to be running on time in UK there? I also have a GTS coming …

Ah, I see what you mean now. 4 seat belts in red and the +1 (middle) is grey and thought you meant all rear belts.

Hmm physical photo suggest it will be grey - how weird!

See what the dealer comes back with but on reflection it doesn’t look promising.
