After discussion with their technicians it seems that they are now setting up these dashcams with parking mode permanently set to off, to avoid battery drain when the car is left for an extended period!
This is ridiculous and a) takes away 50% of the functionality of the camera and b)...
Whilst my car was at the dealers for its service and battery recall, they also reset the Dashcam, as I had been unable to connect to it.
However, now it no longer automatically goes into parking mode when I stop the car.
When I go onto the app and connect to the Dashcam, in the ‘modes’...
From memory, my car was showing 36.9KWH/100mi since the start, which is 2.7mi/Kwh, which seems lower than others, but not materially so.
I will see what the Dealer says when the car is with them for the 2-year service (and a couple of battery-related recalls/investigations).
I’m barely getting 205miles in good conditions. I will get the dealer to look at battery health when the car is in for its 2-year check-up, but this is the only aspect of the car that disappoints me.
My car is now 2 years old and has done almost 19,000 miles.
Most of those have been relatively short journeys to the station for work etc, charged at home on a 22kw charger, but often much slower via our solar panels.
Longer trips have been built around Ionity high performance chargers...
I had the following charging error at Ionity (Bodmin) today, having had the same issue at Ionity (Bristol) a month or so ago.
Is this likely to be an Ionity / Charger issue or a car issue?
Presumably the same reason why there are 2 keys - a) so you have a spare or b) if you share your car with someone.
The ones shown are the old design and new design.
interestingly, after having forgotten to renew my (free) Porsche charging subscription, I have now been sent 3 new charging cards...
After just over one year, both driver’s cards are telling me they have a low battery. I assume it’s just a CR2032, so should be a fairly easy swap, however I‘m not clear exactly how you open them up to access the battery, and I don’t want to break it by forcing the wrong part.
I’m struggling...
Coincidentally I was also told October for the brake recall issue - I have asked them to try and find an earlier slot as I’m am taking the car to France later this month.
i think this is precautionary, rather than an immediate safety concern.
Thanks - when I got home I contacted Porsche customer services by email and within a short period I received a short email reply indicating that my Porsche Charging service contract was inactive, so I’ve now reactivated it.
Given it is free, I have no idea why it doesn’t simply auto renew at...
Am I right in thinking the half-price Ionity charging on a new Taycan is for 3 years, not 12 months?
I stopped at Ionity today and tapping my Porsche RfiD card didn’t activate as normal and I was left to pay full price using the Ionity app
Have I missed something?!
I tried to search for my previous posts on this topic, but I’ve drawn a blank…
I have a 22kw tethered Zappi charger (we have 3-phase electricity), but most of the time I just plug in on 1 phase at a rate of around 4.7kw, depending on what power the house is using. When the weather is better...
Can you add the Porsche widget to a watch face?
I can see the contents of the Porsche widget on my watch, but “MyPorsche” doesn’t appear as an option when I try and edit the watch face?
Am I missing something obvious?!
Thanks.
