    GTS range

If you can get 250-300 miles range from a GTS then you are simply not driving it hard enough. :like:

Road trip to France (Taycan GTS Sport Turismo)

That's exactly what we did - you can add a lot of charge in just 10-15mins with the High Power chargers.

Road trip to France (Taycan GTS Sport Turismo)

About 220miles max, but the car had only done Less than 1,000 miles before the start of the trip, and I tend to drive quite ‘positively’, rather than worry about range…

Road trip to France (Taycan GTS Sport Turismo)

I charge most of the time at home, maximising the use of solar, where possible. For longer trips to Cornwall, Gridserve offers the most convenient solution, so I tend to use the one at Solstice Park. For other journeys, I will try to target Ionity for the cheapest cost if it doesn‘t add too...

Road trip to France (Taycan GTS Sport Turismo)

Does it only work with Ionity?

Road trip to France (Taycan GTS Sport Turismo)

The truth is that I didn’t try! Holding the Porsche chargecard against the machine wasn’t too much of a hardship, but I will ensure Porsche Plug & Charge is activated for next time! However, doesn’t this sometimes mean you pay higher charges because of the way the priving works?

Road trip to France (Taycan GTS Sport Turismo)

I promised to provide a write-up of my recent trip to France, so here goes: Practicality There were 4 adults in the car, travelling for a boating holiday on the rivers & canals near Dijon, and the car impressively fitted a decent size bag each, plus various additional bags with provisions...

    Requirements for driving in France…

I had no problem using the card for Ionity stations in France.

    Requirements for driving in France…

Just back from my 1,400km trip from the UK to the Bourgogne region of France. In due course I’ll do a write-up of the trip covering my experiences of the car and the ease of charging on a long trip, but for now I want a beer and to relax! I just wanted to thank everyone who contributed to the...

    Requirements for driving in France…

Can someone confirm that there is an Ionity charging station at Langres Noidant going Northbound on the A31 in France? We stopped at the one at Langres (Perrogney-les-Fontaines), and the Ionity charging map seems to suggest there is one going North, but Google maps doesn’t seem to recognise it...

    Porsche vehicle tracker issues.

I was working in London yesterday so didn’t have the opportunity to do anything about the issue, but this morning I spoke with my local dealer who indicated that if I could bring the car to them they would take a look. They ended up deliberately instigating a new theft alert which I then asked...

    Porsche vehicle tracker issues.

16 hours later and my app still shows as Theft alert, reduced services etc. Porsche Tracker assure me that everything has been reset at their end and nothing else can be done. ?

    Porsche vehicle tracker issues.

This time I got an alert on the Porsche app - Theft detected. Called up Porsche Tracker and they said they would deactivate the alert - nothing on their system to indicate the reason for it. But they mentioned ‘GPS drift’ in a poor reception area?? Seems strange that it’s been fine for 6+...

    Porsche vehicle tracker issues.

I’ve had a few tracker issues recently, so wanted to see if anyone had experienced similar issues: 1) I left the house without the tracker fob and received a text message indicating a suspected theft. When I previously had Porsche VTS on a 911, I would have received a follow-up phone call...

Did you notice that the Porsche Taycan is delivered without Electrically operated steering column?

The wheel barely moves from my pre-set position, so not a big deal for me.

Did you notice that the Porsche Taycan is delivered without Electrically operated steering column?

I have comfort access, but I’m not sure it makes a huge amount of difference - maybe I’ll take more notice when I go out later!

Did you notice that the Porsche Taycan is delivered without Electrically operated steering column?

Unless you change drivers on a regular basis, I don’t think this is a significant issue. Although my car (June ‘23 GTS) does have it, I have not touched the button since I drove out of the showroom!

    Requirements for driving in France…

Last minute panic!!! Someone has told me I need a Crit'Air sticker for my car, which I'm told takes at least 10 days to arrive (and I only have 7 days until my trip).... I thought these were just for driving in certain (larger) cities? I'm driving from Calais on the main route down towards St...
