UK order status and delays?

Well the disappointment of this entire buying process continues. After being promised updates every couple of weeks, even if it is no news, I had to chase the dealer (every single interaction has required me to chase them and never a proactive contact from them). Their answer was literally...we have no idea and there is no way we can find out. I pushed a little more about the dates we currently have and was sent the below but at this stage estimates mean nothing at all.

I'll admit that I am starting to think that it is a cunning ploy to get us to cancel our orders as they can re-sell them (brand new) for a lot more than I suspect that we are all paying for them....

Yep. You will just have to take it to the scrap yard when you have done with it. Even if you only own it for 6 months ?. The internet knows

After last weeks mishap, finally got my car today. It’s unreal. Totally amazing. Unfortunately I think I might have covid so feel too rough to go out driving! Feeling extremely lucky, and can’t wait for everyone to get their cars so you can all experience what I have today. So special!

After an extra 5 week delay (other parts in short supply ???)...mine apparently gets here a week after yours.

How much extra do I have to bribe Santa?! ?

Being realistic I reckon it could be a January baby. Poor thing.

Was emailing my dealer yesterday and asked if he knew any more about the build dates etc. Reply this afternoon was:

“The current estimated completion date is the 1st November, I will let you know the moment I have the shipping details, thank you.”

Which tallies with absolutely none of my previously given (revised) dates.

So should I get all excited now!? Maybe I should ask if he meant 2023..or 2024. What a roller coaster!! ?

They supplied and fitted the Porsche Dashcam for free, and some other Porsche goodies. Can’t fault them really.

Did my Silverstone driving experience yesterday. My instructor was Martin. Honestly it was better than I thought or hoped it could be. Taycan is one heavy car, but it’s so quick and agile. Loved throwing it around the track only to be told how to do it properly, and then enjoying it even more. Totally amazing experience. My fiancé came as well and is badgering me to buy her a Porsche now just so she can go on the experience!

You could just buy her a Porsche driving experience... but I suspect she really wants a car!
