B-pillar option recommendations?

I'm in the process of finalizing my GTS build with black leather interior.

I have seen the plastic lower B-pillar in some Taycans and am disappointed.

Does anyone have any experience or photos of the B-pillar options:

"Inner Door-Sill Guards and B-Pillars in Leather"
"B-Pillar Trims in Race-Tex"

B pillar in racetex defenitely worth it for me. I have the ceiling and steering wheel in racetex as well wich i guess is standard on gts trims

It does. The mismatch in the photo is due to the lighting.

The light from the window gives the impression of alot of colormismatch..

great photos! Do you think the Race-Tex will stand up to wear and tear/scratches?

Also - the white stitching on the black door - is that standard or considered deviated?

It's not black leather it's blackberry aka bramble. So it's a very dark violett. I love it and would always order it again. And no, the crayon stitching is not standard, it's an option.

I have a GTS on order. On the configurator adding this option only adds Race Tex to the lower B Panel so is the upper Race Tex as standard?

Thanks. I may not bother then. The lower part looks like it could get knocked easily which maybe why Porsche did them in plastic. Also it costs 468 euros in France so overpriced but then again most options are.

I have a GTS ST on order which I can still spec until March next year, and I will be going for the b-pillars in Race-Tex. It's because it can be knocked easily that I'm going for it. As I understand it, knocking the plastic leaves annoying scratch marks and can look bad pretty quickly, whereas Race-Tex doesn't show the marks as easily. Also, it does make the cabin look more plush, and it's pretty good value compared to the other "extra" Race-Tex and leather options.

I'll take my chances I think. I can change config up to January so will have a think. I'd be worried that cloth is softer than plastic so a sharp object could easily damage the Race Tex. I have heard some people complaining of the seats not wearing as well as leather. There must be a reason Porsche have them in plastic not RaceTex other than cost.

Since you have Race Tex and GTS ST like me on order, what exterior colour are you going for? I've settled on Neptune Blue.
