if you read some of the chat in usa etc you'll see that many have been given freebies.
As i say, i doubt this will happen but what's the harm in asking?

That aside, you order/spec in good faith, extended waiting times, crap customer service and now this. We have every right to ask the question.

You can certainly ask the question.

I have a lot of sympathy for customers who ordered a car which was then delivered with certain options missing.
Although it’s frustrating, I think it’s a very different issue having the choice of ordering a car without a particular option that was previously available, or having choice to get your deposit back.

Darn it!

I now have a decision to make after my initial 'excitement' of an allocation last week. Dealer has confirmed no Bose for Taycans (or Macan's) nor any indication of when that situation might resolve.

Do I eat humble pie to reduce depreciation and take my slot for Feb'23 delivery or dig in and tell them to poke it?

There are first world problems and then there's this!!

The standard wireless is fine. When you sell it in 3 years or whatever, no one will even ask what the stereo is.

Valid point however there doesn't appear to be an alternative solution other than to wait............indefinitely it would appear.
We are talking about a £115k+ car here. I remember how pissed I was to discover that my RS4 didn't have the comfort open feature due to the carbon black pack. Credit to Audi UK, they issued a sizeable credit along with a huge apology from the head of customer service.

As above, that was a car delivered with a spec different than expected. I had a refund from Porsche when the lights on my GT3 didn’t have the full PDSL functionality shown on the website.

Still, after a wait of 14 months in Adrian's case, what's the alternative? He walks away, accepts or has yet another wait. Be interested to see if the Turbo & Turbo S is also in the same position.

Thats a tough call. I would'nt want panels removed etc on a new car for aftermarket speakers/amps etc. If they (Porsche) are offering a decent discount as in incentive that may change things. (but i doubt it)

That sounds daunting. Has anyone installed an aftermarket audio system that (1) fits without hacking trim- e.g. behind dash, OEM speaker covers, and the underfloor boot cavity to add a subwoofer (2) is an improvement on the Porsche standard kit and (3)i works with the PCM- Porsche might have made it deliberately difficult to swap out individual components?

I’ll let you know Thursday I’m in to final spec my turbo ct before it locks , no bose ill cancel it it, my 4s is loaded , and I’ll be also seeing what they value it too no point spending good doe to lose a fortune

* I've just had a look on the configurators for US, FR and DE (new layout!) and none of them mention that the bose isn't available.

Last time I saw this was to do with the glacier ice blue headlights. The UK pulled them while other regions still offered them!

You cannot rely on the configurator.

The UK one lists Bose even though you may not get it.

The final decision is made on the day you submit your Porsche Code to lock your build.

Higher chance of getting Bose where it is standard spec rather than an option. No guarantee but more likely. So a Turbo has a higher chance of retaining Bose that any model beneath it.

The speaker issue is not mentioned on the UK configurator (unlike some time ago, when it was specifically excluded). However, my dealer was adamant that they could not include this in an order at the current time.

Hi Guys
I have a Taycan ST (cheap one) on order! Tomorrow I go to Silverstone for an experience based on the car I ordered.
I placed my order in May and had all the quotes for finance but last week I emailed the OPC to get an understanding on my finance as yet no answer!
My car is coming in at £90k and I wanted to drop a chunk on it but the reply was stick to around £10k as a deposit because I will see that back.
The thing is - the interest rates are getting silly and frankly I don’t want to put myself in a car when I’d have to pay 10-12% interest.
my current BMW hybrid was purchased at 5.9% it’s more for my wife than me but she doesn’t like it..
just wondering if anyone has a finance rate that the OPC stuck by?

I still don’t have a build date either.
