Sadly all true, but the first wheel available for a Taycan I actually liked, and most I actively dislike, were the Cross Turismo 21".I can't see any upside for the 21s other than looks.
But a good few downsides (cost, range, tyre choice, tyre cost, likelihood of damage etc).
I am almost embarrased to admit that had they not been available I probably wouldn't have gone to the Porsche dealer at all, and missed out on driving a car that turned out to be way better than I expected.
Now I like the standard GTS wheels, which aren't available for a non-GTS as standard and my dealer is reluctant to order the winter tyres on them for a non-GTS but, luckily I suppose, I now have a video of my car at the dealer and decided a grey wheel, only available with winter tyres, will look spiffing on my car so am ordering them.
If practicality of 20" ends up outweighing the looks of the 21" CT I can always get summer tyres on the 20" rims in the future. I intend to keep the car a long time.
