Received a letter from Porsche UK today (extract below) for my MY2020 Turbo - anyone else?
The high quality of our vehicles over their entire service life is one of the core values of the Porsche brand and contributes significantly to the fascination for our products. To ensure the reliability of our vehicles in the long term, we carry out continuous quality analyses.
What is the issue?
During these analyses, it has been identified that there is a possibility that a bumper was installed on your vehicle, on which a welded seam might not meet the required specifications.
The bumper is a component installed in the front of the vehicle behind the front apron and absorbs the forces that occur in the event of a frontal impact. It then distributes those forces to other components in the front section of the vehicle.
What are we going to do?
To ensure that a bumper that meets the required specifications is installed on your vehicle, we will replace the front bumper with a new one.
What should you do?
Please contact your preferred Porsche Centre to arrange a suitable date to have the necessary work carried out. This will of course be carried out free of charge for you.
