My first post here and excited (hopefully) my first Porsche in my life!!

I am lucky enough to put my name on the waiting list (I know that doesn't mean anything) in September. SA told me it would be 10-12months to wait for allocation and another 4-6months to build.

He told me yesterday his manager doing audit on their waiting list and a lot of people dropped. Now I am 13th place.

Do you know how many GTS allocation a dealership will receive per month? So I know when to prepare the fund. TIA!

It's a lottery. Only the dealer will know. Count on 2 - 3 per month at most and slightly more for a larger dealership.

Are you asking in the US? GTS ST allocations to US dealerships are incredibly rare and difficult to come by. Don't expect to find one without a significant ADM attached.

Also with 13 people ahead of you, don't hold your breath anytime soon. Their estimate wait time sounds incredibly optimistic to me.

Yes its in the US. Luckily this dealer doesn't have ADM on any Taycan models so everyone should have a fair chance

2-3 per month is actually a great news!!!!! the dealership is quite large imo!

Tiy to clarify as that may mean 2-3 total Taycan allocations a month...NOT GTS ST allocations. Those are probably actually pretty rare as someone already posted in the US still. Most dealers may get 2 cars each round of allocations not 2-3 a month! So that puts you probably about 12-24 mos out given allocations to dealers do NOT drop monthly but seems to be every quarter (2-3 mo time frame) from what I've seen. Good luck to the OP but you're likely in for a long wait.

Yep. Sounds about right. I was #5 with deposit starting in January '22, and after 6 months I hadn't moved a single spot in line. Of course, that was right when Felicity Ace and Ukraine started, just a month or two after placing my order.

They had actually gotten one GTS ST that was a launch model ie not configured and it sold to someone for +some ADM, plus required financing through PCNA (very first one to arrive) however mine was going to be at MSRP. I will say it was absolutely stunning in person, though.

I caved to my impatience and bought a CPO Turbo off the lot. I don't think there's a confirmed answer for why the CT and ST models are so impossibly hard to get vs the sedan except for the boilerplate that they produce more sedans.

Errr, wut?

You think Porsche sells 5-7,000 GTS ST’s in the US in a given year?

Doing the math, Porsche sells about 10k Taycans in the US per year, across ten model variants. Even if the GTS ST was an even pro rata share (which we know it’s not given how few wagons sell in the US), that would be 1,000 cars across 200 dealerships, or five cars a year per dealership on average.

Which my point...exactly. 2-3 GTS allocations let alone GTS ST ones or CT or CT4S is a pipe dream currently. The OP's dealer SA is blowing smoke up his rear end if he's telling him they get "2-3 per month is actually a great news!!!!! the dealership is quite large imo!" That may be overall Taycans but definitely is NOT GTS STs for sure. In fact I've never seen one in the wild even much as you say and as of what this summer my old dealership in Hawaii had only delivered I think 2 other CT's than mine for a total of like 5 or 6 across all of 2022! As Archimedes has stated. OP sorry but you're in for a likely LONG wait for that GTS ST especially at number 13 on the dealer's list! GIven they'll get maybe 2-3 GTS ST cars a year bro that's a 2026 model year delivery likely maybe a 2025 if you're lucky at the current production and take rate given your reported place in line.

Discussion about this topic on Rennlist indicates that allocations for the GTS ST are very rare, with even large dealers only getting a couple a year.

I know Porsche merged sedan+CT allocations for Turbo, Turbo S, and I think 4S as well, meaning dealers get a universal Turbo S allocation for example which they can order as sedan or CT. Are GTS allocations not universal the same way (sedan or ST)?

I thought I would direct you guys to my post about two new GTS ST's listed at my local dealer . . .

no affiliation with the dealer, but was quite surprised in light of how rare they are.

With the current economy, the car market is correcting quickly as it was completely overheated over the last year and half. People cancel orders for many reasons such as interest rates going up, trade-in values going down, stock portfolio values going down, and/or other reasons which make a purchase of a $150K+ car no longer feasible. I bet some dealers also ordered cars for inventory expecting them to move quickly with profitable options and probably ADM, and but they no longer fly off the lots as they did 8 months ago.

Today's car market situation reminds me a little of 2001. I was looking for a 911 allocation back then and there was none to be had, ADMs were not uncommon, then after the dot-com bubble burst, suddenly allocations and inventory cars started popping up at different dealerships.

When I ordered my GTS ST, my sales advisor told me that the allocation was only for the ST bodystyle and could not be changed to the sedan. Thankfully that is what I wanted anyway but he initially thought I was looking for a sedan before I clarified. I do not know if the bodystyles were merged like the other trims in the interim though.

My allocation was assigning me a dealer ordered car for their stock and then modifying the order to what I wanted. (So not a v70 demand order that converted to a V200 allocation, but rather a V200 allocation in the system that was assigned already to the dealer and reassigned to me)
