Taycan GTS
I'm curious to know how many MY2022 Taycan GTS'es were imported into the USA. So far, my searches haven't come up with anything more detailed than the number 7,271 for the number of 2022 Taycans sold in the US of all varieties. Does a breakdown of sub-model exist somewhere that I haven't been able to find?

First, I'm just curious to know how popular the GTS sedan is within the lineup - and how unique it is considering the 2022 supply chain issues and apparently increased GTS-specific lead times. Secondly, my state has an expedited collector car status if there were fewer than a certain number of a particular style imported, so I'm curious to know if the 2022 GTS sedan might qualify.

The Taycan is not a collector car. Production numbers are really based by Porsche and not market demand. When they assign an allocation to a dealer, they tell the dealer what sub model it is for, and the dealer cannot order a different sub-model. The dealer would need to trade the allocation with another dealer. PCNA does not provide sub-model numbers. Something like a Cayman GTS 4.0 is more rare then a Taycan GTS.

I realize it isn't meant to be a collector car and that the Taycan GTS isn't something unique within the context of Porsche production. It does, however, seem like it might be eventually possible to qualify early in my state in their definition of "collectable" given the 7,000 sales number across 10 sub-models in 2022 (depending on what chunk of those 7,000 were actually GTS sedans).

A bummer that the sub-model numbers aren't released publicly. I suppose I can try my dealer (or Porsche NA directly?) to see if they would dig up and release a single number for me for this purpose...

Thank you for the info.

You can try PCNA, but they stopped releasing the numbers a long time ago. Curious what "collectable" would get you. I would think you would need some type of letter from PCNA to document the numbers for your state.

I've definitely heard people like Nathan Merz, Porsche Club of America (PCA) member, reference detailed stats about a particular Porsche (older) model, year, sub-model, options selected, etc. Perhaps this was based on previously publicly released information that is no longer reported? Or access to private data being a 3rd party luxury car dealer?

Unfortunately, I can't help... but curious if you ever have any luck finding the production numbers by year / sub-model.

Porsche used to do this, they stopped with the 991 and up until then they issued sub-model stats

There's a database for the 991 GT3 that a sales guy was running each VIN to build the database.
