I am wondering if it makes sense to go ahead and purchase (maybe 18mo lease?) a 2023 Turbo S when the refreshed 2024 should be available for order late this year for a summer 2024 delivery?

I have owned a 2020 volcano grey Turbo S, a white 2021 and a black 2021 and my plan was to get a gentian blue TS but now the 2023 is giving me pause in light of the updates coming.

My best knowledge of the refresh is that it will be announced this fall 2023, orders open in 2024, and this will be a MY2025. This means to me that MY24 will be the same as MY23 but with a price increase and no material changes. However, as soon as MY24 orders open up, my dealer can share internal doc on what changes might be in and typically there are some adds and some deletes. For example, for MY23 I understand the rear footwell led was a delete.

I can see it coinciding with the release of the Macan EV as a way to keep the Taycan relevant (2025 release) and ahead of the Cayman EV. It'll probably come with the updated infotainment along with expected bumps in range and power.

Why all the different Taycans?

I joke that these EVs have no soul! But because I am easily bored and loved white but got a chalk 911 so I would’ve been bored with white owning chalk.

You do know you can charge them up when the battery runs out, you don't have to buy a new one....

All of these vehicles (and likely the 2024 model) are practically the same car. I have never purchased two vehicles from the same platform and I dont intend to for the 2nd gen Taycan.

If you like to ask random online strangers opinions on things like this, yes it makes perfect sense to get your 4th one in 3 years given your history. It doesn't make sense if you don't get another one. Take my advice and get it, you won't regret it. When the new one comes out just get the latest and greatest again. Why the pause?

After 10 minutes of thinking I still can’t get my head around what I’ve just read :turkey:

Dont you get hit with a sick deprecation on each trade in?
Looks like this isn’t relevant ?

How about a PPF colored wrap? might be a lot cheaper than depreciation and you will be able to switch up colors until there is a substantive refresh or new generation?

(thread hijacking in progress) Wait, what? Which led - I'm pretty sure there is light in the rear footwells in mine. Now I can't wait for it to get dark :-|

This may be country specific. This is directly from my SA who got a copy from corporate on MY23 changes. I am only sharing Standard Equipment section as there are other interesting sections. I know the lockable wheel bolts now cost money for sure.

Lockable wheel bolts are now an option? They'll be asking if you want to include a steering wheel soon.
