Started the process today of rejecting my CT4 with my local Porsche Centre.

Received the car early December 22 after a 12 month wait.

As of today (June 9th) the car spent the last 2 1/2 months in a body repair shop. The issue is due to 2 separate rainwater ingress issues - 1 into the tailgate and the other into driver’s side rear quarter. To date the body shop in fairness have tried their best but the leaks still persist. Reckon the fault was there from the start and I didn’t notice - my bad.

After this length of time and with today’s news that they still have a leak (after months of fixing) I have decided to reject the car. Lost faith on these two issues being fixed. Love the way the car drives and looks - can’t stand the fact that this issue cannot be fixed in a timely manner.

Question I have is - has anyone out there rejected their Taycan and how did it go? Did you have to lawyer up or was it dealt with amicably by Porsche?

I of course stressed that I was not trading this car in and losing my shirt - simply rejecting it and looking for something water tight ??? with the money I have already sunk into this car.
Had similar with good outcome. Happy to talk you through my experience if you contact me directly

Thanks - I wrote to Porsche GB last Tuesday and itemised the history of the issues. Got a standard holding email back requesting 10 working days to respond via their Personal Case Manager. The email said that they are experiencing a high level of customer contact etc etc.

Will post the outcome on here when I get it.
If you purchased from one of the following they are part of the Porsche GB Retail Group, ultimately owned by Porsche GB: Guildford, Hatfield, Mayfair, Reading and West London. This is possibly extra leverage for you.

It sounds like so far you have been unable to reach agreement with your dealer. However tempting, I’d hold off on naming them here, going nuclear only if you can’t reach a mutually acceptable agreement. Their agreement may require you to agree a NDA. That doesn’t feel right, but provided what you want is reasonable/is agreed, your subsequent consumer rights are unaffected, so doesn’t really matter.

Thanks for the advice. I purchased my car further North ?.

The supplying dealer and I have not discussed any remedy as yet - they just referring me to Porsche GB. Will see how this line of enquiry pans out - will give it until mid next week and then it is back on the dealer’s door.

Don’t want to go nuclear just yet as it puts you in a corner and the only way out is to lawyer up.

Sorry for the delay in responding - I stayed off the forums until this issue got sorted.

Happy to report that it is all resolved. Got a full refund for the car but I had to eat the Gtechniq coating cost of £1k+. Overall happy to move on and not have this hanging over me. The dealership did pull out the stops in the end and I guess Porsche GB listened.

I’m currently going through one with Porsche Colchester whom have been awful. I’m sure folks have had great experience with them, mine has been quite the opposite sadly. I’m having to go through VWFS which is taking forever. Really sad I wish I never traded in my 4S as that didn’t miss a beat. Great paying for something you can’t use ?

Ive just rejected my Taycan CT for water ingress issues and PCM non-comms issues. The dealer network service has been shockingly bad; id go as far as to say the worst I have ever experienced.

Its on PCP so i have rejected it under the CRA 2015 to Porsche Financial Services and the dealer under the CCA 1974.

If anyone has any advice on how to manage a claim like this, please get in contact.

Thanks

Jonathan

Michelin Star prices for basic takeaway pizza service was my final take on it, after using 3 different dealers.
