My forum searching has found lots of discussions for floor jacks, but almost nothing for scissor jacks.
I bought this for my wife’s BMW i4 M50:
https://modernspare.com/product/4000-lb-trulift-ratcheting-scissor-jack-w-rubber-contact-point/
The lifting pad/interface measures 32mm x 50mm.
Anyone know how well this will fit into the Taycan lifting point?
Perhaps the answer is that I should wait until my used 4CT arrives then report back!
I’ll also ask Modern Spare if they might know, even though they don’t list a Porsche fit option.
I recently used that jack to remove a stone jammed in tightly between the brake rotor and dust shields:

The ratcheting action worked perfectly, and raising a corner of all 5,018 pounds required almost no effort – with just one hand!
Other emergency kit elements:
Thanks in advance for any feedback, whether practical or humorous!

Other emergency kit elements:
- Vredestein Space Master collapsible spare, my Audi A6 Allroad comes with one, I bought one for the BMW from a wrecked A4 Allroad, and eBay has plenty of listings for 195/65R19 Cayenne version, which matches the 285/40R20 rear diameter exactly. Unexpected bonus is that when I want to maximize cargo space, or just don't want to lay a bike down on top of the spare, yet I have only three people in the car, the spare fits nicely in a rear passenger footwell (oriented vertically). Also super easy to lift in and out of the car.
- Tire iron / ratchets of various sorts, already have plenty of those.
- Extra compressor and bottle o’ goop, plenty of those (although I heard tire shops are not pleased if you deploy the latter).
- Charging kit w/ 15’ 50 amp extension cord and about half-a-dozen NEMA adapters, already assembled that, and will share with the BMW.
- Jump starter, so many more options since I last bought one, but this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0872HHZQH ... actually works according to this review: https://www.caranddriver.com/car-accessories/g42569313/best-jump-starters-tested/ … which actually reviewed the products by actually testing them (unlike other reviews are found that are based on only specs), even if that one is ~4x the price of much of the competition (many of which might not actually … work).
- Warning triangle, already have an extra, since I discovered that the BMW has a secret compartment (hadn’t even noticed after 9k miles) for that, which is shipped empty to the U.S. since required only for Europe, and the triangles I already have don’t fit, but ordered the Euro spec from eBay.
- Plug kit, previously bought this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09N9M2KCT/ … so will probably buy another.
- Porsche Parking Only sign from Ali Express for only ~$8 including shipping from China … wait, those aren’t available, only legitimate Porsche versions on Amazon and eBay? Perhaps Chinese merchants are too afraid of Porsche intellectual property attorneys?
Thanks in advance for any feedback, whether practical or humorous!
