I purchased my Taycan 8 months ago - Porsche Bethesda. Software problems from Day One. Two extended (weeks, and it sits there for several days before they even get to it) service visits with Bethesda with no fix.

I gave up on Bethesda and now go to Silver Spring. Nice folks, but same issues. Car sits for weeks with a very slow process. Car has now been there for almost two weeks without a fix for the PCM problems, and no indication of when/if they can fix it.

I've owned the car for 8 months - and it has sat at the dealership for 25% of my ownership - two months out of eight.

Porsche NA and dealers seem unable to support the technology on these cars.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having such a bad experience.

It honestly sounds like it might be worth exploring a lemon law claim in your case.

Though I don’t know what software/PCM problems you’re experiencing. In general, there’s almost nothing that a dealer can do about a software or electronics issue other than escalate it to PCNA and ask for a remedy or replacement part. And not that it’s any consolation, but I’ve heard similar stories lately from friends with cars from BMW, Hyundai, Tesla, Ford…

Which is to say that this whole generation of cars has dealers out of their depth, and the issues with supply chain in the past couple of years have exacerbated the issue by making module swaps harder/slower than they should be.

Soon to be apart of the MD group. Car is supposed to arrive at the Annapolis Dealer on or around 4 Sept. Purchased my first/last P car from Tyson but had it serviced at Annapolis so decided to stick with them for the Taycan purchase. Hoping all service experiences with the Taycan will be as top notch as were with the other P Car.

I've been monitoring this forum for a few months, so I'm glad its been re-activated. I live in D.C. and I chose the Porsche Bethesda dealership. I received my CPO 2022 Taycan 4S in June 2023 from the dealership in Clearwater, FL. It came with summer tires, so I'm in the market for all-seasons in October. I live in the city so no room to swap and store 2 sets of wheels. Any suggestions or experience with your current set of tires?

I‘ve had the Continental all-season 21s on my Turbo since new (30k miles now). I’ve replaced one set with the identical tire. The bad news is that the all-season Continental tires do not grip as well as either of the Summer tires available for the 21-inch wheels. That said, there’s still plenty of grip, and based on other owners’ experiences, you get better range with the all-season tires.

Thanks! Most likely I will go with the Continentals. Currently have the Pirelli PZeros Summer tires with only 3k miles on them. I'll enjoy them for 2 more months and make the switch.
