With the Treefrog Crossbar Roof Carrier Black. I took the risk and it worked. Many faces with frowning eyebrows at the charging locations and while driving. A lot of attention from how this roof box was mounted on the roof. I drove 3800 km (2300 miles) from the Netherlands to the South of France at a speed between 120 km/h (72 miles/h) and 130 km/h (78 miles/h). Without any problem, even the noise and energy consumption with the roof box was not much higher than normal. I chose this system because I was tired of having to buy new roof racks for every new car. And because our second car (Tesla Model 3) also has a glass roof, I can also use this roof box on this car. Expression from the Netherlands: Two birds with one stone.
First question I would ask, how often do you need to re-attach these? Will they last a week, a month, a year, few years? Second question, are there any indicators on these, perhaps visible from inside the car, indicating that the suction cups need to be re-attached?

Can't speak to durability, but I would use these (as with Sea Sucker) as an occasional thing, rather than long term, permanent attachment.

The suction cups do have a red indicator tab that shows when the suction has lost a little 'grip' which is easy to do a visual inspection and pump a little more air out. I've only seen it when I didn't make a good contact in the first place, so they don't leak over time on their own

If you have put them on your roof, the advise is that you check if the indicators are still black and does not show a white strip. During my trip 3 days (mounting day and 2 days drive of 1900km), I checked the indicators everytime I stopped for charging or sleeping and I didn't have to pump them up again. Never had to re-attached them. Same counts for my way back home... Ofcourse during my stay in the South of France I toke they off.
Look at the web-site of the brandnames I mentioned. I understand the reluctance of using, but I am convinced it is a good en solid solution.
