Fan runs loud in sport plus mode.

when i got home. I hear this crazy loud air blower sound. I didn't know what it was. I tried to replicate it. It seems to do that when i turn on sport plus drive mode only (not about chassis or chassis height). It is hot today. So i assume that this is normal to keep the computers cool as sport plus needs more computing power? I havent heard anyone on here talking about it.

It's cooling the battery. Did you happen to stop at a DC fast charger on the way home?

no. it was a slow bumper to bumper highway drive home in a 33.5 degrees celsius day. for more than an hour

It really only run so loud in sport plus mode. As soon as u turn to different mode. The fan slow again

Not sure why you wanna drive in sport plus in bumper to bumper traffic but you do you lol

thanks for clarifying. have this car for under a week. Didn't know what was going on. I was cycling around modes when i drove today. Just played around. now i know that i shouldn't haha. On the other hand, it sounds like in sport plus. It anticipate fast discharge and recharge. Thus need extra cooling. So even if i have it on from bumper to bumper. It's technically cool more of the battery given that the fan was running high. Man, this was so scary. Wish that this wasn't my "i can't believe i can afford it" car.

Yes that’s normal. It may also disable interior cooling if it gets too hot (in sport plus). If it does it it’ll pop up a notification on the dashboard to let you know.
