I'm a further couple of days behind (28/10 completed build).

Was advised was due at the dealership yesterday but not heard anything. Letting my current car go on Tuesday so hopefully won't be carless for too long.

Given the closeness in the build completion dates, you’d think they’ll end up on the same boat if yours is heading to Sheerness?

@MarkR I've been told by my SA that car is built and on it's way and ~3 weeks until it's at SE London. No My Porsche updates.
nice, did they tell you your build completion date? Mine's heading to Sidcup too.

mine was at Emden last Thursday (2 weeks after completing build). buying through Lex I saw on their portal my dates come in from 30/11 to 23/11 so hope that means it's made some progress on its journey. Also saw a registration number showing too so they're clearly ready to go.

nothing on my Porsche app/website regarding my actual order, status or any sign of build photos! I do see my car/vin and spec with an outstanding campaign though!

It was scheduled complete 10/11 but they didn't confirm that was when it was completed.

I only have the VIN in the app so I'm at least a week, probably two, behind you. Hopefully you'll be ready soon - certainly sounds like it if they have a reg assigned.

Mine should finish build on Friday, but will check later this week. I wonder if ours are on the same ship? Mine is going to SE London too. If so, then I would think we would have a similar timeline for delivery.

Definitely sounds good. Yours may also be on the same ship....

So my car arrived today and I’m collecting Saturday.

Was pretty chuffed but my day has been tainted by a bit of a shafting when selling my current car (long story but buying dealership would not pay the price they’d agreed).

Anyway - roll on Saturday. Could have got it Friday but haven’t got a gap at work to collect.

Scumbags!

My Sport up for insurance renewal in a month. That will decide if i keep it or not. I like the car, but don't think i like it £7k p.a. for insurance. Lose whatever way i guess.

Anyway, enjoy your new Taycan.

Thanks. Good luck with yours.

i was very close to saying stuff it and walking away. Absolutely a bad taste in my mouth. If didn’t know when Taycan was coming would have walked away but id been told earlier in day car had arrived and was ready this week.

But as I say, bad taste. Hopefully yours will be fine - have you contacted re the retro fit if security improvements?

I’ve contacted Lookers Land Rover dealership and Landrover themselves as well. Both seem to know nothing about a retrofit! Reading between the lines, I don’t think it’s being treated as a recall (or not rollled out yet)?, so nothing flagging up on systems.
A real case of “computer says no”. I even forwarded them the newspaper articles but they claimed ignorance.
So whatever, it won’t be done in time for my insurance renewal and I doubt insurers would give 2 hoots either, until empirical evidence that the upgrade works.
