Question: I’m getting errors on iPad, and Refresh no longer works since November 26.
i guess thst’s because of iOS under 17?

What errors are you seeing? I did drop iOS 16 support, so you may need to update your iPad if you're still on iOS 16.

v1.4.0-39 is out now with a new climatization widget / complication! Now with a single tap you can toggle climatization of your vehicle from your watch or phone.

Other updates in this release include:
- Battery history now fills in gaps with filler data to give a better sense of continuity of the data.
- A Carplay bug introduced in v1.4.0-36's Observable overhaul has been fixed; trips will now live update again.
- Another potential crasher has been resolved.
- More error handling for Tesla API calls.
- Climatization intents now handle low battery mode and will fire an alert if the battery is too low to run climatization.
- You can now see your charge rate from within the iPhone app.
- The iPhone app's vehicle console layout has been tuned; vehicle badges are now in the top area and the charge wheel is a bit larger to improve legibility.

I don’t see any new versions…I’m on 16.7.2 and it says that i’m up-to-date…
Looks that I have iPad Pro 12.9” 1st gen :(

I see, sadly in this case your iPad isn’t able to upgrade to iOS 17 so it won’t be able to install updates from Electric Sidecar either.

@featherless Congrats, this is really turning into an impressive app. I have a question about the recall information you are surfacing. In Sidecar it shows 3 recalls. Does that mean those recalls apply to my specific vehicle? When I login to the Porsche website for my vehicle there is no information shown about any recalls at all. This is confusing since there appears to be a data mismatch. Can you clarify please?

BTW... I love the new feature that fills in missing data. For some reason it bothers me when there are large gaps in charts and even though this is just meaningless filler, I like it much better. Well done sir.

Right now the data shows any recall that has ever affected your vehicle. Whether the recall has been addressed isn't something I’ve found an API for yet, but I’ve called the NHTSA to see if I can get access to their API that shows active, open recalls as that would be the preferable info to show here.

But you raise a good point that, as presented, the recall info is confusing. I’ll clarify the labels to better represent the fact that it’s historical data and that whether you have any open recalls or not requires further validation with your dealer.

Interesting. I’ve never had any of those recalls applied to my car so they should still be open, but Porsche has never notified me about them in any way.

You can check your VIN status here: https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls. If it says 0 recalls there, then that means (at least in theory) that you don't have any open recalls on your vehicle.

I've updated the app text to show that it's historical recalls, and I'll add a link to the NHTSA website so that you can run the query on your VIN specifically.
