None of those match up against the picture in post #9, nor my car. I think these are the old style.I took a photo of the head of one of my locking lug bolts, then matched it up with the socket in this diagram from the Temo store on Amazon:
The socket for Audi #3436 may be a match. I wonder when the "new style" happened after my 2020 Taycan delivery, and if it aligns with the Audi socket numbers.
This looks the best solution. A few q’s. What is the maximum height? Does it sit on the floor or as this looks embedded in the floor? What’s the make and approx cost?Third lift option - QuickJack. One benefit is you can leave the car on it for days if needed. Also, can take off more than one wheel at a time.
Nothing is ever full proof. If you throw away anything that can be hacked with a piece of hardware from the internet, you will not have much (or any) stuff left. For example, you can buy lock picks, does that mean you are not using any locks with keys? You can buy Flipper Zero device which can clone a lot of hotel keys, gym keys, etc, does that mean you never stay in a hotel, use gym lockers, etc?
The point is I never have to dig out any key to change my wheels.
I get it. Security vs. convenience are quintessential risk vs. reward trade-off, i.e. you sacrifice one to get another. I am not saying what the correct security vs. convenience balance is right for you, because it is different for everyone. I was just saying that the fact that you can buy a kit to work around a security measure isn’t a good reason not to use it. Convenience on the other hand is a great reason. I knew a guy a while back who never locked his home, it wasn’t worth having to carry keys with him.
Might have happened when they switched from 19mm to 17mm bolts 10/2022.
It's the QuickJack lift. It's just laying on the floor (hangs on the wall when not in use). Max height lift spec says 24.5" (622mm) from floor to the lift point. Which model you need depends on what cars you want to lift with it. I got the 6000ELX, which is the biggest and the most expensive, but I got that one because I have a car with lift points farther apart than the Taycan which I need to lift as well. Search this forum for QuickJack, some people use 7000TL with extension or 7000TLX. The prices are listed on their websites, but they have occasional sales, most recently $350 off any lift for Black Friday (I got mine for $250 off on another sale earlier this year). I don't know when the next sale is, but they have them multiple times a year(saw one this year for Valentine's day, or a month ago during SEMA show). Not sure in which countries they sell it, but they claim to be selling internationally.
I use 4 of BMW (A) jack pads like this (on top of the block which comes with QuickJack, or when lifting one wheel only using a jack), but there are some marketed for Taycan, more expensive though. The closest match I saw so far was this one. I thought about 3d printing myself one which would somehow stay in the lift point as it would make it easier to alight when lifting.
