Best alternative to the Porsche / Vodafone tracker?

Hi,
5 days in an loving the car. But, the one thing I detest is the Porsche / Vodafone tracker.
It’s the most ludicrous and badly designed tracker solution imaginable.
As it stands, to have valid insurance I must take the tracker and key everywhere, but I cannot carry them in the same pocket or bag. And I must store them apart at night.
And the tracker can’t be attached to a keyring (there is no hole / loop).
This is madness and infuriating.
Surely a better approach would be for Porsche to allow authentication via a mobile / Apple Watch.
Does anyone have an alternative tracker which is insurance approved and where you only need to take the car key with you?

FWIW, I carry the tracker fob in my wallet (https://bellroy.com/products/card-pocket?color=ocean&material=leather&size=default) and carry my key fob separately. As I also have my driving license in my wallet, I tend to remember to bring it and key and all works out okay.

Tesla 3 is what I have. Recommendation from someone else on here.
USB Flash drive keyring are also about the right size too, but the Tesla thing was best I found. Don’t bother looking at car key cases as they’re all too big. Like having a man bag attached to your keys!

Even following that to the letter doesn't sound madly inconvenient once they become second nature, but are they stated terms and conditions and/or your own deduced best practice? The guiding principle of minimising the risk of them getting stolen or lost together seems to allow more flexibility.

I've got one of the little pouches and have joined it to our gates fob. I still think it's a pain in the ...

It'll be even worse in summer when I'm not wearing a jacket so will have nowhere to keep the tracker fob when I leave the car. However, I accept it's better than the car being an easy theft target like all the Range Rover's out there!

If you leave the tracker fob in the car - and if you're not in the car - you could stick it in one of these to block the signal:

Yes, I have one in the car for that. I do try and take it but sometimes its a pain especially in the summer, which is why I got the Ghost 2 fitted just for piece of mind and got cheaper insurance

All Porsche tracker fobs since introduced many years ago (pre-Taycan) have been similar. Separate, no keyring option for obvious reasons etc.

The non Taycan one say for the Macan is a different shape and very thin and therefore easier to store in your wallet. Not sure why the design was changed for the Taycan which is a whole new world of pain for sure.

Most likely because the Macan one is rubbish. Currently have both in the household. Only real complaint about the Taycan one is when the battery is low you get false alarms. With the Macan by the time they call you the car could be on the Eurostar to Europe. A little annoying as the Macan is newer than the Taycan.

This is not for everyone and more for on casual dress days. I use this running belt.

I didn't activation my Taycan one on my Dealer's advice (!) I asked why and he said - "no point in paying for something which isn't actually needed as your car can be tracked regardless because of the PCM / NAV." My insurance doesn't insist on it and the Dealer also said that the tracker may well be phased out. I have observed the migration from a separate Vodafone box attached to the car (+ tracker fob) to the integration now within the PCM (+ tracker fob), perhaps the next step is to abandon the requirement for the fob. Not sure how accurate these comments are but it did make we wonder....
