You guys are making me feel like my shoes are ugly. Like the kid at school without the Nike’s ?

Pft! Porsche did a pretty good job with the 21" selection for the Taycan. Even these! And they're aero friendly!

So can someone clarify. I have the same original wheels as the OP, but from my understanding you cannot put Mission E's on standard brakes and they need to be PSCB? Or is that just Porsche's way of gouging you into paying more?

I have a RWD PB+ Taycan and I'm worried that if I get a set of Mission E's it'll somehow break the brakes or void the warranty.

Edit: also noticed OP has a pic at Porsche SF! I'm like 9 blocks away haha

Feel superior in you know you are getting better range and have as far as I know the only vehicle with 4 individual rims. I.E left and right are mirror image.

See these threads linked below, there may be more. I have read on here and the other site that there are many owners that have fitted 21 mission e or after market similar wheels to the standard brakes and have yet to see anyone reporting a problem (other than lower range which happens regardless).

i myself converted my 4S to Mission E 21s a couple of months ago, they look and drive fantastic and I see absolutely no issues.

You can't buy a car from Porsche with Mission-E rims unless you also get the fancy brakes, but they fit just fine should you get them aftermarket. I assume that it's a looks thing - The very open Mission-E design keeps a ton of brake disk visible, which Porsche says looks bad if the brakes are too small or if they are rusted in any way. The PSCB and PCCB brakes are huge and don't rust, so no issues. Plus Porsche just wants more of your money of course.

It's purely a marketing move by Porsche to have the very open spokes be filled with a more substantial brake caliper and rotor and to gouge us.

Zero technical/compatibility issues

Those Mission Es are so lovely.
Certainly compared to 19’ that look like plastic wheel trims!

New Mission Es not as nice.

Beware. Your range will plummet!

I posted this on the FB forum earlier today but wanted to post here as well. I’ve owned my CPO 2020 Turbo for about 6 months now and really came to love the 20” Aeros but left like the car wasn’t optimal visually. I just upgraded to a brand new take off set of 21” Mission-Es with Goodyear Eagle F1s. While there’s definitely some increased road noise and some added busyness to the ride with the extra tread surface, I’m totally floored at what a transformation it’s made to my car. It went from the “classy sedan” vibe to something very different. I’m also pleased with the monochrome look with the black center caps and black calipers.

Am I the only one who thinks the Mission E wheels are the best rims for the Taycan? It looks like a Beast now!! Good for you!

Nothing noticeable …. More rubber on the road so a little, but you are seriously OCD or buttly retentive if the slight noise increase bothers you ……. I lost about 5% range …. But I am heavy footed ……
