I’m from the UK and on lots of sites there is discussions about a design flaw on Taycans that allows stones to damage the radiator through the cooling holes…..Has this been rectified on the new release Taycan ?

If it has doesn’t it suggest there should be a worldwide recall for this issue as it won’t solve it self.

I think no one knows for sure, yet. Unless someone has insider information. I certainly hope it is fixed but as the changes to the car on the outside were rather small, it's possible that it hasn't been fixed.

There was a big news article about this in Finland also. A Taycan owner lives on a 5km gravel road and has had very significant repeated issued with small stones entering the car through the cooling vents near the front tires. He is claiming it's a design fault but Porsche isn't agreeing with that assessment thus far.

I personally rarely drive on gravel roads but our family summerhouse is located at the end of a long gravel road so I'm not entirely happy about this either.

The absolutely hilarious thing about this is that the CT version of the car has the same design fault. ??‍♂

This issue is different from the OP about stones damaging the radiators. I believe you’re referring to the issue of pebbles accumulating in the cooling fans. Those pebbles are flung into the cooling fan housing through vent holes in the wheel well liners. There is a TSB with updated parts designed to fix this particular issue.

Indeed, you're right. That is the issue I was talking about. Great to hear there is a fix being done!

Note that 911's have a similar radiator configuration that exposes the radiators to stones, etc.
Screen have been avialable for years to protect them, but Porsche has not addressed the issue with a fix.

My car is in Porsche Glasgow right now for this very reason. Stones have damaged the fans. There does appear to be a problem with design.
Porsche deny it, of course!
