Turismo Tailgate Catches on roof when opening!

It’s Porsche Sheffield where I service the car.
It was originally supplied from Porsche Leeds to my lease company, but I switched to Sheffield as it’s only 10 minutes away.
maybe if I had bought it there they may have cared a little. But Porsche UK couldn’t give a damn either.

Seems like an alignment issue that could or not come from body flex. Strange. What does your dealership say?

Edit: I read back. What a piss service. I'd tell them to be ready to replace a lot of parts in the close future because I'm opening that trunk no matter what. That could get stuff moving.

Dealer says " go home and don't use the tailgate" about every 2 weeks and then repeat.
"we need a full spoiler set but we have no ETA"

I'm very lucky though, because I now have a full battery failure. AA is on the way. Maybe I'll get a loan car whilst the Porsche is in the dealer???? probably not if they continue as poor as have so far.

I had this issue.
I informed Porsche and they said 2 months until they can look at it.

today it smashed the panoramic glass roof

I told Porsche about it 1 month ago, the cr has done 2000 miles

Ouch.
I have a panel alignment issue on my driver door catching the front wing, which will be damaging paint - but that is nothing compared to this. Ill certainly check what my boot lid looks like against the roof glass.
Hope they sort it in reasonable time for you.

This happened to me once, out of the blue (really, the car sat in the sun for a few hours). Thankfully it caused no damage, and it did not occur since (not even shortly after). It’s a bit unsettling one can cause 20k worth of damage by opening the trunk.

You have to upload video to YouTube and just post a link.

Wow, that's probably $16K+ worth of repairs you are looking at. Keep all the pictures and videos of the issue, you might need them to fight for this to be covered, so they don't just claim road damage and tell you to use your insurance.
