If anyone wants one, i bought one from the last batch and havent used it even once. I am willing to sell to someone willing to pick-up. I am in Delaware.
It’s a great rack but never had a need to use it on my CT4 since I bring our truck whenever I had to go biking.

Shipping the bars, hardware and trailer plug for $550. Then you have the option to purchase the 1up roof rack or the Kuat Piston SR. Both options are great but the Kuat comes with some more features at a premium.

WARNING - BIKE RACK FAILURE

Lucky I did not loose my $15K e bike (26lbs) when one of the two bolts broke holding the 1Up tray to billy bars. The one bolt broke letting the one end of the tray slip off the bar & drag the pavement until I could stop the Taycan CT. The other bolt bent but did not break which held the tray on the bar on one side. I think the bolts had loosened somewhat & this let them wobble until the one broke. Be sure to check that the bolts remain tight. I had been using the 1Up security nuts instead of a locking nut.

I will be using three bolts per side with locking nuts and the brackets that came with the 1Up tray. One bolt in the center going through the bar & two other bolts on either side of the center bolt. Tried to attach a photo, but could not get it to upload to this site.

Are there options for a Fat Bike ? Not having seen the TEquipment Solution from Porsche myself but reading comments it doesn’t look promising. What about your solution ?

Hi Dick, that is alarming. I think you assessed correctly that the nuts had come loose and that could certainly put the bolt in bending, causing it to fail. The fact that the remaining bolt was loose and bent makes me think it had loosened off first, putting all the stress on the other bolt that eventually broke. Did you remember to use a washer on the nut side (Lower side)? The washer will allow you to torque the bolt more securely.

Yes! Both the 1up rack and Kuat can fit fat tires up to 5”. The 1up needs an extra kit, $38 per rack, to do it while the Kuat can fit it standard.

What I’ve been doing for members in Europe is I can purchase the racks and ship all together to you since it’s hard to find resellers for 1up in Europe. Shipping typically runs around $200 though.

It was user error. I just was using the 1Up "security" nut sleeve and only a flat washer. Been using that way since you first came out with the bars. I am so lucky that I did not total my bike. I will make sure using the 3 carriage bolts on each side that it will not happen again.
