Hi all, I recently took my car into the dealership for recall and noticed the dealer set my tire pressure to 38 front and 39 rear. The door jam sticker shows 41 front and 45 rear. I asked the service advisor about it and she said the tech set the pressure to 38/39 because he does the reading/setting via the PCM which is more accurate. Not sure if this is completely true or not, what is everyone setting their tire pressure at? Thanks for reading

I go by the PCM so the reading when cold is all zeros. This makes it in the 38/39 psi while the sticker shows 41/44 psi. You have to be sure the tire size and type are correctly set such as 21 inch and all season for me.

i double checked the pcm, it does shows 21 inch all season tires. When you say all zeros, do you mean the deviation value? In the PCM i see partial load and tire pressure shows 38(+1) for the front and 39(+1) for the rear. If i change the setting to full load it shows 38(+2) for the front and 39(+4) for the rear. After a 10 minute drive and tires are kind of warned up, the tire pressure is 40 front 41 rear.

Correct: Deviation showing 0 or +1 is good when tires are cold
Load: Partial load is good if you are driving alone or with passenger and no heavy luggage
Therefore, keep it as your dealer set it at 38/39 actual with PCM deviation showing 0 or +1.
