Just received my recall letter in the post today. Booked into Porsche Newcastle in a few weeks because I need a curtesy car from them. Not had any warning light as described in the recall letter. Pretty crap really. I’ve had heater failure, part of the wiring loom replaced, boot lock replaced, clean air sensor replaced. Now this. Cars put together by apprentices on a Friday afternoon. Won’t be getting another one. Ordered new and delivered in July 2021 so I think from memory it’s a MY22. I’ve now done nearly 23k miles.

I received the brake hose recall letter for my ST 4S today (29th July 24).
However, DVSA lists the hose recall for the Taycan but no recalls for the ST.
I'm guessing this is an error at DVSA? Surely the front end of ST and saloon is identical?

Received my letter today too (ST 4S) and booked in at Newcastle OPC in Sept as I need a courtesy car also. I’ve lost track of how many times it’s been in for recalls now. I’ve had various Porsche's over the last 20 years and can’t remember any of them being recalled.

it’s my first new order Porsche but not my first Porsche. I’d agree. Really disappointed by the experience. Definitely feel I got a beta mode car! Shame as it’s a great drive.

I’ll get my 69 on the road and stick to analog ?

Is it just brake lines? I could replace those myself in a day for 120£ with some braided ones rather than send it off. not had any issues with it tho, so might just ignore it. if I notice a problem ill change it myself.

They are only recalling these cos they had like 7 instances where the hoses leaked lol. pretty cool company tbh, voluntarily recalling cars when they don't need to. Fair few company's would just say its a common problem and you have to fix it.

Got mine yesterday and earliest date with a courtesy car at Hatfield is 22/10/24!
So many recalls with Porsche which in my wildest dreams ever imagined.
First time Porsche buyer and at this rate last Porsche!

The area of concern is not the number of faults found vs total cars sold. The real issue is that it is a design flaw and should have been sorted during the design of the part itself.

A design flaw is a far bigger problem than a simple part failure (every part will always a certain failure rate anyway and every manufacturer deals with that).

Porsche is not being 'cool' by voluntarily offering to replace all Taycan cars front axle brake hoses - but it has actually been caught with its pants down. And replacing every Taycan's barke hoses is still cheaper than the alternative.

Yes, it has taken them a long time to come to this stage (and the assessment should have been done long back when the first few issues were reported), but in the world of economics, the extra costs would have needed multiple levels of approvals within the Porsche hierarchy.

Having said that, Porsche still deserves credit for taking a 'responsible manufacturer' approach and doing the best it can at this stage.

I have a MY2023 Sport Turismo and checked the VIN on the Porsche recall web page - it shows "There are currently no open recalls for this vehicle". If I log into my.porsche.com there is no indication of any open recall for my car yet the brake hose recall was definitely showing yesterday - as posted earlier in this thread. Hmm...

Update: I checked the my.porsche portal again tonight and the ARB0 recall is still there - so don't know what happened earlier.

I wonder.......................... do CTs with air have a longer hose due to longer travel? There are 6 different part numbers for both sides. OPC does not seem too bothered and my personal inspection shows no evidence of fretting or over flexion......................................
Still happy to have them swapped out, but strange that the 'official' sites, both UK and Porsche don't show a recall.
Anyone with a CT on here actually had a letter yet?

2023 ST, no letter yet but recall was there on the My Porsche website. I booked online for 16th August but just been phoned to be told its mid September now.

When I rang, they said wait for a letter then 'book it Danno'. They explained that it was VIN dictated. Just wondering how far the letters have got up the list......
