Sorry, if I knew a better place to post this I would, but I am learning!!
I need the 20k or 2 year service. I have a '22 but only 10k miles. I got the dealer version of cost...$1,400?? What in the world costs 1400?
I am going to go find a certified P mechanic and get him to do the job. I assume if I have an invoice that would suffice to prove it was done professionally? any advice to be sure the warranty doesn't suffer?

Warranty can't "suffer" in the US for not using a dealer.

Service is brake flush, cabin filter, wipers and inspection.

Buy filter online (9A7-819-429), search for videos on the forum - takes 10 minutes to do yourself.
Buy wipers online (9J1-955-425-DY). Replace.

You probably have ARB0 recall to do? They will need to do a brake flush as part of the recall (for free).

All that is left is the inspection. Ask for quote for that, some will even try to take advantage of this. Mine didn't charge me anything for the inspection.

...and search the forum...plenty of posts on this topic.

Doubtful Porsche will pay dealers to flush entire brake fluid system.
Probably only Bleed front as needed.

Just had it done. Flushed.
That's great, worked out perfect for your April 22 car.
I will wait till next year for my May 23 build and hope I can get the same flush with recall hoses.

Not exactly, I had my 2 year service in April. I replaced my wipers and cabin filter myself.

I used part of my $600 EVSE recall money to pay for the flush so it was “kind of free”.

Flush again earlier this week as part of recall.

Well, here is good and here is no so! Had my service done independent and for a very fair price. All work done as required. However, they don't have the current software to reset my pc. Porsche won't , as expected, and can't find anyone who will reset it. Now WHAT?

I did the two year service myself and saved the receipts. I then paid my dealer for an "inspection" where they reset the service indicator. I paid $179 for the inspection. As others have found the independent Porsche shops in my area do not have a Porsche tester that can talk to the Taycan. The most economical source for Taycan cabin air filters I have found is Pelican Parts, less than $20 each as I recall. Much better than $80 from the dealer.

Am I required to do service every 20K miles or every 2 years?
I only drive 6K to 7K miles per year so I would get to 20K every 3 years.
I’m assuming I may need to replace the wipers every 2 years but the rest seems ok every 3 years, right?
Doesn’t seem too bad if I spend $1400 every 3 years to insure I’m always good to go…

It's 20k miles or 2yrs whichever is the sooner.

Getting it checked every couple of years has general benefits IMO anyway.

But $1,400 makes the UK seem positively cheap! (Under £500 here...$660?).

Agreed. Looks like the brake flush is a key service safety event to stay on top of. I’ll replace wipers when I need to but I will also be getting the brake recall done in the next 3-6 months once they have the parts so I always like to have Porsche look her over on a more frequent basis to double check all systems are go. I guess the 1 or 2 recalls or warranty issues serves that purpose well.
I don’t think I would be comfortable not bringing it in less than 2 years or 20K miles…
