Finally got mine booked in today, was offered end of Nov if they collect and deliver. First courtesy car was Dec 11th, went for that just in case there were problems doing the work. Seems a long time away...Finally got mine booked in despite no call back when I logged it via MyPorsche.
18th October (17th being the earliest). Crikey
No, though mine felt like it did the last time i drove it. Maybe psychosomatic with all the recall stuff going on. But when i applied the brakes, the car almost felt like i was pressing the brake and accelerator pedal at the same time.: It felt like the car was resisting/pulling against the braking. Pedal travel felt longer too.Is it normal for the brake pedal to travel quite a bit before anything happens?
Hmm, just checked my brake fluid reservoir after slightly odd feeling brakes last time out. How visible is the fluid in the reservoir as I'm not sure i can see any through the opaque white plastic. There's a little yellow sieve/filter under the filler cap (which i can't get out) so i can't look down through it.Ever since I saw a leak was a possibility I have been checking the brake fluid level daily.
Mine is due to go in tomorrow and it is a 2 to 3 hour job so I will wait.
I can’t see the level but if I flip the lid I can see that it’s filled up to the filter. I would hope if it was lower I would be able to see the level.Hmm, just checked my brake fluid reservoir after slightly odd feeling brakes last time out. Yes, it does kind of look like the bottom of the filter is wet. Hopefully it is!I can’t see the level but if I flip the lid I can see that it’s filled up to the filter. I would hope if it was lower I would be able to see the level.
There should be a warning once it’s low too.
In mine the level is about 5 to 10mm above the bottom of the strainer.Hmm, just checked my brake fluid reservoir after slightly odd feeling brakes last time out. Yes, however, they do have a "software update" that they can apply to the brakes themselves that can fix it. I read and asked porsche about it. Requested it for my car, which is in service. Let's hope it actually does something. Is it normal for the brake pedal to travel quite a bit before anything happens?
