No app update in switzerland; in quite a while actually. I wonder if they roll out the updates / features country by country... seems inneficent

In switzerland, not even 3h away from where this thing is built; they don't have the parts for this. Since 2 months.

I am wondering if in UK some of the dealers are replacing the part with the same length / old part. Or how exactly do they get the new part if switzerland / germany can't get any...

Maybe they are made in UK now...................

Pedal stays roughly where it was before.

Its the amount of pressure you apply before the HOLD appears that has changed making it much easier (and better).
Thanks.

I currently don't have to apply much pressure to get "hold", but the pedal is pretty low when it's on.

Despite modest respite when they applied the brake service bulletin (to stop long pedal syndrome), mine have never felt that great. Will see what happens when the pipes get done.

I previously had to apply a lot of pressure to get it to come on. Also just checked and when hold comes on the pedal does lower slightly so it’s below the accelerator pedal. Hard to explain but not noticed that before.

This is normal.light rather than stabbing pressure to activate and pedal depresses slightly automatically for me anyway prior to the brake hose recall.

You may find this isn’t entirely related to the brake hose change. When I disconnected the 12v battery to try and fix my data connection issue, the PCM made me do a brake pedal recalibration (which was a slightly disconcerting process), but I’ve noticed I need far less pressure to trigger the brake hold now. I’ve not yet had ARB0 done.

That’s where mine goes.

Well, that is the CT delivered and it now reports that it is in the workshop with windows and frunk open................................. and my loaner is........................................

BMW i4.

Not overly impressed. Very 'tinny' door shut. Hate the Hans Zimmer soundtrack and can't find an immediate way to turn it off. Missing Porsche 'coasting' already, although the auto recuperation seems as good as P cars.

Seat comfort lacking for me as there seems to be little support in places I want it and despite it being an e-drive 40. it is slow.............. well, not compared to ICE but, you know.

Dash layout is not to my taste as it is very 'flash gordon' and all staight lines. Extended screen across the dash is quite good and the i-controller is quite good to use (bearing in mind I have just been parachuted in to this) .

Brakes are....

nothing like as well resolved as my CT despite having dodgy hoses (allegedley)
I do like the auto hold on flat roads at traffic lights. It just comes on when you stop. No need for second stabs etc.

Reasonable to drive home and ultimately back to the dealership but not for me. Then there is the way it looks.............. seat position seems high compared with a 3 series ICE i drove alongside and, surprisingly, considering the Taycan B pillar saga, I find it more difficult to get out...........

Oh, and I don't like the thick steering wheel.

I got a J1.2 4SCT today. I had the 4SST 2 weeks ago.

Brakes are superior on the J1.2 without a shadow of a doubt.

4S is rapid and as rapid as my GTS.

If I were blind folded in either of the J2s I would not be able to discern the difference.

Won't get the car back today as they are replacing the hv heater (nothing wrong with it), PSM reprogramming (nae idea what this is) and something else. Brakes take 2.5 hrs, PSM 6 hrs (!!). Wasnt expecting this but there you go.

Got mine back. Brakes are very slightly better I think - but they were good beforehand - however; HOLD is much easier to initiate on flat ground. Roll to a stop with brakes then just a slight increase in pressure on the pedal triggers Hold.
