I have an opportunity to take delivery of one of the first ones - being loaded on a boat next week, arrival in the US sometime in October. But I'm also in the process of trading in my wifes GLS for a Range Rover, so a little bit tricky to do this last-second purchase, but we'll see if I can make it work

Wife is getting a regular RR (3-row one). I was trying to get her into an EV - but neither the Escalade IQ nor the electric RR will be here in time. And I guess it's not a bad idea to keep one ICE car anyway.

True that. I look forward to seeing the Escalade IQ...I love the range and appears to have sweet design and nice quality. I hope it has a full 4' wide opening to accommodate the occasional sheet of plywood like the ICE Escalade...

Here's another data point in MA. '21 Turbo S w/ 20-23k mi. Dealer invoice value was $98k from earlier this year. Retail value was $117k. Agreed upon price was $109k. MSRP $212k. About 50% depreciation in 3.5 years.

edit: these numbers are from a lease, not purchase, so it might not be an apples to apples comparison

This is a Taycan forum, luxury goes without saying.

But for more everyday brands, Hyundai selling Ionic 5 for 20% off MSRP, for months now. They wouldn’t be doing that if the market was strong.

Porsche finance guy told me they cannot give EV away.

Tesla I have no idea. Personally would not buy anything from Musk.

Too late - already closed.
Since (as previously noted) they could not give away their Porsche EV models (whether Taycan or Macan), the cost to pay for disposal of those models was so high that the dealership owner had to declare bankruptcy.
