The description is all over the place. I would advise to:

- Request Windows sticker to confirm options
- Request condition of the tires. 20k miles is usually the max for all seasons
- This is non-Porsche dealer example and with early year production I would not buy one that is not a CPO with assurances of all recalls completed and having SoH (state of health) of the battery
- I cannot speak to the price of something like this

I did get the window sticker and all of the options seem to be there. It has also passed state inspection.

@thecrayon, good to see full sticker. This example is loaded with comfort options and yes it has the larger battery but missing most desirable performance options: Sports Chrono Package and Rear Wheel Steering. Also, our best advice is to see if you can CPO it with a local Porsche dealer or look for other examples that are CPO and making sure all recalls are completed. There is just too much risk of having one without original or CPO warranty.

They mentioned there is 4 months left on the factory warranty and are offering an extended warranty through ProGuard.

That's good to know but CPO certification comes with full inspection, 2 years, and unlimited mileage. Therefore, I would compare the cost of CPO to the ProGuard and go from there.

Great, I’ll take a look at those costs and see how that works out. Thank you for the advice.

CPO is best since you need a good Porsche dealership to be your friend. They will CPO, make sure all recalls are done, can measure SoH or we can tell you how, and then we can help you save money on maintenance with some simple DYI and price negotiation. There is really no maintenance on the car to speak of with tires and alignment probably being the biggest expense, but dealers jack up hourly rates to make money anyway. Also, I would find more comparable examples to help negotiate final price if you are set on this one.

This one is very loaded, but somehow missing the Sports Chrono, which is not a deal braker, as you still get the Sport Mode. Also, please check if it has Air Suspension as Standard Equipment as it is not listed on the sticker. If not, then you will get a Steel Suspension with no adjustments, which is fine suspension but Air Suspension on this MSRP expensive of an example is expected.

I agree, with a 2020 in particular I would want CPO. To me that price seems high for a non CPO. You can find 2020/21 CPO 4s's in that price/mileage range with similar option lists.

Given all the issues others in this forum have been talking about even for MY25, I won't touch a 2020 model with a 10-foot pole.

With all of the horrific stories people have been posting about this car, from 2020s - 2025’s, why are so many people still buying them. After reading a lot in this forum they sound like horrible cars. I was initially drawn to reviews from major magazines and of course it is a great looking car but after poking around here I am beginning to wonder.

I did go test drive this and it was great but if it has all of these undiscovered issues it sounds like a bad idea.

Re reviews from major magazines and YouTube channels:

Most of the reviewers get the cars they review from manufacturers, keep them a couple of days, or a week or two, and return them.
And, too many really negative reviews will jeopardize the reviewer's ability to get free loaners to review from manufacturers in the future.

If you plan to buy a car and keep it for more than a week or two, read forums with posts from owners who share their perspectives, good and bad.

You then have to choose how to balance info and opinions you obtain from magazine/YouTube reviews and owner forums, but don't depend only on one category of sources.

it is hard to quantify even among forum members how many have had zero issues, like me. However, others ran into major issues and dealing with horrible customer service to get the cars fixed with proper communication around the process. I took a lot of time to research, monitor issues, and drive loaners before making a purchase decision. However, my level of concern has been going up as new issues keep coming up since I purchased mine.
