I am in Vancouver and my first 2 year service on my 2023 Taycan 4S Cross with 15,000 km is due May 2025 which appears to be mainly a brake fluid change, cabin air filter change, and some inspections and not much else. I called Porsche Langley to check on the price of the 2 year service and they quoted me $2,850 + tax! Richmond told me it was around $3,000 + tax! I fully expected the extra “Porsche tax” with the Taycan but am I being unreasonable thinking $3,000 is too high for the 2 year service?

When I called the dealer about the 2 year service they checked my VIN and there are 5 outstanding recalls on my car so I will have to take it in to get those to be done also. One of the 5 recall items is replacing the front axle brake hose which is supposed to be done with a brake fluid change. I have read online some people have had the brake fluid change deducted from their 2 year service since that has to be done anyways as part of the recall.

How much are other people paying in the Vancouver area for their 2 year Taycan service and has anyone else that had their front axle brake hose replacement recall done been able to get their dealer to deduct the cost of the brake fluid change from their 2 year service?

$3000 for a brake fluid change seems excessive. Brakes rarely used, anyone change them at 4 year point?

The "big" service in Germany has a standard price around 670,-€, the small one around 370,-€.
Updates and recalls don't cost you money.
This price appears unreasonable and not Porsche standard. I would ask Porsche Canada about this.

They are trying to scam you, as these cars have little to no need for their "service".

Have the recalls done, those are free. The brakes hose recall will result in the brake fluid being replaced for free.

The rest of the other components of the 2 year check shouldn't exceed 400. And even then, you can replace your filters and wipers by yourself, and that should basically reduce the cost to close to nothing...

Indeed, actually no "need" for service.
I only have them done because I don't want to compromise my warranty and for the "service history" book.

Those quotes are abusive. Extremely abusive. The brake hose recall (ARB0) does not specifically call for a full brake system flush. WPK0, a workshop campaign for "Re-programming PSM Control Unit" includes a fairly involved "ventilation" procedure that flushes all the brake systems (ABS, electronic brake boosters, and the normal brake lines). WPK0 is usually done when the brake lines are replaced but might not apply to all cars in all markets. WPK0 is specific that the ventilation process needs to be done even if ARB0 was done prior to WPK0 (implying that the brake hose recall does not include a proper flush). If you complain of an inconsistent brake pedal feel WPK0 should get done. This will save having to flush the brakes at your 2 year service. Cabin filters are a 10 minute job for the tech and the two filters are relatively inexpensive. There is almost nothing else that needs to be done for the 2 year service except some checking. Important to have the service done for warranty reasons. $500 CDN without the brake flush?

The same in the Netherlands, but this excludes the brake fluid and airco fluid which according to Porsche regulations they have to replace after two years or 30,000 km. Extra costs 650 euros which I didn't pay because they didn't inform me upfront about. That's how we deal with these insane prices .

All the intermediate/major services tend to be expensive....I have a Cayenne, 997.2S and Taycan 4S, and they all cost more than I feel they should.
However, as previously mentioned, not compromising the warrantee is worth the price of admission.

Just had the brake recall done where they change the brake fluid as part of the recall. The price for the remainder of the 2 year service was quoted at $940 USD.

Dealers set their own hourly rates. You have to accept it or find another dealer with lower rates.

As others mentioned you can lower the overall cost by:

Brake Fluid flush is a no cost item under WPK0 campaign
Cabin Filter is a very easy DYI with much better 3rd party filters available
Wiper replacement decline and do it yourself
Fob battery replacement decline and replace it yourself

I’m in Oakville Ontario just outside Toronto

As others have recommended get all the recalldone first at no charge

Then do the 2 year service.

I have a 2020 Taycan Turbo S with 35000 kms on it

I had the 2 years service done in the fall. Cost me about $750 cdn taxes in.

Never spent so little exiting a Porsche dealer ( have had several 911s)

Something is certainly wrong at $3000!!!

push back for sure.

good luck
