Odd a dealer would prevent you from purchasing it. It's your money and these are not rare parts nor is Porsche protecting its brand.

Those wheels aren't even specific to the GTS as I recall the Turbo CT could also be fitted with these. In any case these wheels are a direct fitment for Taycans with CCBs and PSCBs.
No idea why, and I suspect if I had pushed it I could have got them but I liked my second choice enough not to bother.

Different countries have different approaches to this sort of thing.

The wheel design isn't specific to the GTS the paint finish is. On all other Taycans you get gloss black with machined highlights (which I hate) but on the GTS they are satin black without machining which I really like.

Hmm I'm not aware there was a different finish

Maybe the USA is different.
Here some GTS wheels are satin black painted all over and look great, particularly the 21" spyder and 20-Inch Taycan Turbo S Aero Design Wheels which to my eye look hugely better than the gloss black versions with machined highlights you get with every other version of Taycan.

I like both those GTS versions but would choose neither the spyder design nor the turbo S Aero version in the finish offered with 4S, Turbo or Turbo S.

I’ve put buying 20” on hold as I’ve booked the car in in May to check knocking sound when I go over bumps. I don’t want Porsche to blame it on after market alloys
I bought the “21 inch RS Spyder Design” wheels some time ago and love the looks! The ackermann effect is only there for me when the temperature is below 6 degrees Celsius.

If I was to put a set of wheels from a 24/25 year taycan onto a 21 model year, does anyone know if the car would recognise the TPMS sensors or are these updated? I note mention of a system change earlier in the thread.

The set I’m looking at are ready to fit with tyres and TPMS sensors, however it would be far from ideal if they were fitted and the car didn’t recognise them.

I’m also not entirely sure how I feel about wheels that are not correct regarding model year, but I do like these:

As mentioned earlier, I had to change the TMP sensors on my winter tires from my MY22 to the new MY25. Both are CT 4S. The new car didn't recognice the old sensors.

I have never driven on 20’s but my 21 RS Spyder wheels are fine for comfort, still getting around 220 miles in the winter, I have just changed to Hankook Tyres and they are quieter and stopped the Ackerman effect completely.
What size Hankook tires did you put on? The judder is driving me nuts.

Just be aware of the change of tyre preassure system from MY 25 and onwards. Got a costly reminder after upgrading from a MY 22 to a new MY 25 as I kept my old winter tyres/rims. Had to change the four sensors on the old rims at a cost of roughly €800 or little less than 600 after a discount.
Old post, but the exact same sensors by the same company can be had aftermarket for ~100 EUR at any tyre shop.
Spending 600 on them at the dealer is wild.
