Advice needed - Taycan CT 4 is coming with two sets of tires I don’t want. What can I do with them?

Hi all, I’m just closing on a transaction to purchase a CPO ‘22 CT 4 from SoCal (21” wheels) that has new-ish summer tires on them (Goodyear Eagle F1 with 2k miles on them). I live in the Pacific Northwest and wanted AS so they threw in brand new unmounted Goodyear Eagle Touring AS in the trunk. These were the only ones they were willing to throw in (I would rather have just taken a credit on the purchase price of the car but no dice).

Anyway, I plan on getting the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S installed like @jasonh shared.

Any advice on whether the two sets at tires I have might be interesting to a local dealer? Or would a local tire shop be willing to entertain a trade for the Michelins? Especially the new, never mounted ones? I guess I could try to sell on eBay or other online marketplace but I’d rather find a way to unload these as quickly as possible.

Thanks in advance, and am really looking forward to taking possession of the car soon.

In my experience, dealers are not interested in buying tires from customers. When I bought my Taycan, I had them take all-season tires off of my brand new car and put on a set of winters. Since it was all the way on the other side of the country, I asked if they wanted my original tires ar even half price, they told me no way, Porsche owners who buy tires from the dealer want straight from the factory, not off of a car, even if it still has the factory mold release grease on them (which mine still did). As soon as the tires are in any customer’s hands, they are considered used and dealers don’t want to touch them. I ended up shipping then back home and now I use them in the springs in the PNW (yea, I know, overkill, I keep 3 sets of tires+wheels for my Taycan, summer, all-season, and winter - but that’s me, I like optimal traction if I can get it).

look for a local shop that sells used tires. They will be willing to buy them. You can also just put an ad on craigslist.

I would be interested in the Goodyear F1s if they are cheap enough. You refer to the Pilot Sport 4S, that is not an all season tires. Pilot sport All Season 4 is maybe what you mean?
