Extended warranty or not?

As i said before, last year, i paid about 3000 for 3 years extended warranty.

I think that they might send you an offer…but in thst case you’ll have to drive to Austria

Thank you. I like Vienna… It is rather 250 km than 300 km so something like two and a half hours trip. My warranty is expired more than a year ago so I saved some money on the other hand out of warranty cars it is a bit more expensive as prj@ shared, thanks to him.

When my warranty expired I have received same prices from my dealership so I decided not to go. Seeing prices here I picked it up again.

Looks that prices are different (not just because of different VAT)
It was 1200 for one year and 3000 for 3years, so i took 3y since i wanted to keep ct4 for another 3 years.

What an idea... Your country is beautiful, would happily stay there couple of days. Would happily go for this price for sure. Even if it is a bit higher since I am out of warranty. Please PM me with the contact of your dealership. I'll ask an offer.

You could refer to Hungary like that unfortunately at the moment, yes.

I would never own any porsche without a warranty. Any visit to the dealership will cost 2k or more.

Warranty in general costs more than shop visits. It is its business model.
Works like any insurance. With huge profit.

If you have had an experience of using the "extended warranty" which is a service agreement that has limited coverage, please post your experience with the dealer. It's really questionable how good these agreements are, and I would like to see some solid evidence that the dealers honor them as much as they honor the original factory warranty.

You can search the forum (and others such as Rennlist) for this evidence. It's generally understood, and a core value proposition that for the USA the Porsche-branded Safe-Guard VSP Extended Warranty can be sold by any Porsche dealer and is honored by any Porsche dealer. They confirm your coverage by looking up the VIN with Safe-Guard.

It's not 100% identical to the Factory Warranty. There are some things that the Porsche VSP extended warranty doesn't cover - e.g. wear and tear items.

It's the 3rd party warranties where the experience might be more varied. You might end up having to submit claims yourself after footing the bill.
