Project Purple - MY2026 Taycan CT4

I traded in my MY22 Taycan Turbo S CT back in September, and should get my new CT in January.

Here's the build spec:

Most options related to tech are ticked including AR.

A couple compromises:
* 20" wheels because driving on my 20" Tequipment winter wheels was a noticeable upgrade in ride comfort over the 21". Plus unlike the Turbo S I don't have massive PCCB's to show off anyway, and I do like the design of the Turbo S Aeros. I got 12mm spacers that I'll be installing as well.
* Did not option the gloss black painted bottom parts of the side mirrors, but then on the CT you have a lot of the non-gloss plastic anyway, so it kinda blends in.

It's nice to see cars that really have a color are coming back. The only modern color approaching this is the lovely Mazda candy-apple red (not sure what it's actually called). Of course, I'm not one to talk about car color...

That was actually one of the reasons why I went for the color, I really liked it in person at the dealer, and figured if I am ordering a custom build I might as well get a more rare color.

The only other option would have been to get the "stormtrooper" build so, white or ice gray with matching Mission E wheels. But while it looks sick on photos, a white/gray car does not really stand out much, plus small brakes and massive 21" wheels don't go together too well IMO. The ST being 10k more (because I would have had to get the 4S) was the final nail in the coffin for that idea, so purple it was.

I see you took the rear entertainment option. Did you try it beforehand? I tried it in a dealer car, and maybe obvious to some, it makes the already very small rear passenger space even smaller. With the low software quality also, couldn't justify it.

Great spec otherwise All the good stuff you can get in a low trim + a mapev tune, it will be a beast.

Yeah, I bet this one will be slower than his previous turbo S for about…… 30 minutes after he takes delivery.

You can't fit them after the fact. I did spec the bike carrier preparation though.
I don't like roof bars, I will never put anything on the roof anyway.

On the CT/ST the rear passenger space is bigger. I did have the option in my Turbo S CT and my kids loved it, so I got it on this also. You can just connect an Amazon Fire Stick to it permanently and ziptie it behind the monitor, and you have a full android tv experience with a remote control. The tablet has a USB slot so you can get the power for the fire stick in the same place.
It's still much safer IMO than having a loose iPad in the back.
And in any case you can also remove the monitors after the fact.

The only thing that is inconvenient with the monitors is dropping the rear seat (they get in the way), but with having child seats in all the time anyway, then it's not any serious extra hassle for me.

Pretty much. And there are a few upgrades over the Turbo S also:
* Active ride
* More power
* More consistent power (doesn't become slow below 40% SoC)
* Better seats - the comfort seats are much more comfortable than the adaptive sport seats for longer journeys and for getting in and out IMO. I never used the side adjustments on the adaptive seats anyway, just left them all the way open/loose.
* Soft Close (this car really needs it imo)
* More range (not really important for me, as the range on the old car was enough)

Nothing wrong with loving white! And white would look even cooler if more cars had unique colors.

It's built now, delay is not major, a couple of weeks.

Due to legal requirements, all Taycan models produced from calendar week 10/2026 are equipped with a driver observation camera on the steering column. The display in the configurator may therefore differ from the actual equipment of your vehicle. For further information, please contact your Porsche Center.

Not sure when your shipping date is due / when they are fitting the interiors with this.

It used to say week 48 or something 2025. Now it says week 10 2026.
Maybe they didn't get it ready in time? Fingers crossed I don't have that BS.

Not sure in his case but for general awareness, you can choose to have silver (default) trims around the window frames or black (optioned).
