Hi All,

got my car wrapped last week and now the front bumper camera is blacked out. the rest of my cameras all work and all of my driver assist is working - strictly just the front camera being blacked out. when i go into surround view i see all the others.

spoke to porsche and they are saying it needs a calibration - what i dont get is why my assist would work if this isnt? to me it would make sense if none of my assist was working including the camera view.

they want to perform a surround view camera calibration, adas calibration and parking brake calibration.

question for everyone: is it more likely that the camera is just shot and i need to replace it? curious if anyone has had this issue before. the car is throwing the following error code: B127C54 & B200FFA

I have the same isue!
super annoying. they want $2K to do the calibration which is absurd on its own but i just dont get the logic as to why it would show as black. debating just doing a replacement to see if its the camera itself but i believe that means the bumper needs to be removed again which i want to avoid.

are all of you assistance features working?

Yes.Just the front camera. What is more interesting, when the bumper was broken, camera was working and shows ground area instead the front because holders where broken. After that when I clear some other errors, shows sudenly black and piwis ask calibration.

yeah weird. i mean the guy at porsche when i told him the deal he said yup calibration issue but honestly hard to trust them when they want 2K for this stupid work and im sure theyd love to bring me in for it lol

my shop recommended someone who supposedly can do all of this calibration work. going to try that first and see if it clears it. will let you know how it turns out.

Can you please take a picture showing the rest of us exactly where/which camera was wrapped over? I am wondering why a skilled detailer can now now cut out that covering piece of wrap while it is in place. TU

The wrap isn’t over the camera. They removed the bumper to do the wrap which prompted the camera to black out until it’s calibrated.

Now I understand., that if they had wrapped the car without removing the bumper at all, all cameras/systems would still be working.

Thank you.

Yes exactly. According to Porsche the second you pull the bumper it prompts a calibration.
