2022 Taycan base model, 19,860 miles. The "clunk" type noise only occurs once when starting off after the car has sat for an extended period of time. That can be overnight or longer. Usually I back out of the garage to the street and then accelerate in Drive and that's when I hear it. No other occurrence on the drive. Up on a lift I can't find any sign of a loose fastener or movement at the suspension pick up points. I sometimes suspect it is from the differential. Anyone else hear this noise?

I have recently had a similar kind of clunk when driving off.
It happens infrequently, but is nevertheless concerning.
It's almost like a brake pad sticking.

I've heard this intermittent clunking noise after reversing and then driving off, for the past 2 years. Sounds like something falling over in the trunk. Wish I knew what it was from and how to fix it.

I'm hearing the same type of noise - quite a loud 'clunk' when starting out after the car has sat for a bit. Very loud 'clunk'! Anybody talked to a dealer about this???

The only clunk I hear sometimes is the required 1st to 2nd gear shift in normal mode after ignition on. Loudness of clunk depends on speed (<10 mph) and amount of throttle.

Check to see if water is accumulating in the lower trunk area where the subwoofer is located.

Same here. I guess if it’s uncommon, I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

Put the car into sport mode before setting off and see if the clunk is gone.
If it is gone then it's just the first 1->2 gearshift after all the oil has drained out of the trans.

This is a VERY loud 'clunk' when parked and engaging gear. Nobody else??

I get this periodically as well. The volume/intensity varies - my belief is that it relates to the parking brake disengaging and getting slightly "stuck."

That is hard to imagine as the 1-2 shift occurs at the minimum of approximately 49 mph. I will give your suggestion a try though, anything is possible. Thanks

That sounds plausible, although I only hear it from what seems to be the left rear. I an not going to dismiss this suggestion so I will try parking in neutral without applying the parking brake. I will do it on level terrain and try it several times, i.e. overnight or extended periods of time. Thanks for the response.

Only on RWD though, 5mph for everything else.
