By personally atacking me with your off hand racist remarks? I guess Trump is indeed representative of the population :D

The fact that you would accuse me of being some sort of spy just because i dare mention that people paying 300k for a car would look at Ferrari also is indeed ridiculous.

It may also come as a surprise, depending on the eduction system in your part of USA, but Ferrari is from europe ;)

Oh, yes, swiss, known to sit in big rooms with other people and lots of other computers, not in switzerland, posting propaganda... defeinitely nationalism and not strongly implied racism :)

You have indeed made your point very clear ;)

BTW, i have videos and pictures of my cars on this forum from 2-3 years ago :) Quite the dedication, to buy 2 porsche's just to post propaganda... about Ferrari. Ferrari's marketing budget must be bigger than porsche's profit numbers, for sure.

If you would have read what i wrote, you would have seen the very complicated word: "implied", and if you can't google stuff you don't know, it means to make an assumption, to express or state indirectly. Just like you implied that I am a woman because I called you out, and believe me, there is another word for that also... but I have a feeling it might stimulate your pea too much.

Now, enough of your nonsese spam. Beside making racist implications, bring something of value to the topic.

So far all you've brought is that Porsche's strategy to drive sales by artifical limitation and non-sensical pricing tiers between models, driving prices closer to Ferrari, is not to blame for poor sales, but propaganda about italian cars on porsche forums by Swiss people is to blame for poor sales. Amazing argument, indeed, lmao - and that's with me ignoring what you actually implied.

Luckily, nobody here is trolling or taking their opinion too seriously.
That would possibly destroy the conversation.

I'd still spend 235 k on a nice GTS as daily.
But wait...my daily is a Taycan I am still very happy with (I know, very controverse).
And than there is my "base" 911T for the fun days.

I am enjoying my Porsches very much also, so much so that after the latest leaks, I am waiting for the 718 ev before making an impulsive Ferrari sf90 purchase.

Being outspoken about the brand or many issues of a car doesn’t mean dislike. My personality is not tied to the brand

But the enjoyment of the few doesn’t drive sales, as can be seen in the original post of the thread. And neither does Porsches strategy by the looks of it.

I blocked this guy over a year ago. Pretty happy not to have to read about how great the Chinese companies are, even though I agree that Porsche has work to do.
I just did this after your comment and I immediately saw the results in another thread. Thanks for the suggestion!

I can't see the post you are referencing but I know exactly who it is because I blocked them a long time ago and it's made my experience on this forum vastly better. They definitely are a paid actor and of course they will deny it forever. Try blocking them and see how your experience changes :)

I test drove the 911 gts, and after all the praises from media/youtube of "accelerates like an EV", it most certainly does not. Acceleration did not impress me
It certainly does. Acceleration did not impress you because it has around 500 PS.
I drove it on track and on a straight a GT3RS can not keep up, but of course around the corners it's a completely different story.

But the response on that car with just a single turbo with long headers is completely instant, just it's not a straight line car. If you did the same setup without the t-hybrid you would have massive turbolag.

Not saying it's not better than a normal turbo, but it definitely did not feel instant to me. Definitely fast response, but not instant like an EV. I could very much feel the delay on press of the pedal compared to the taycan.

For me at least, it's not enough of a difference to justify the 100k+ over a base 911. Add 60-70k extra, and you get a low milage used SF90/296, which is in a different league, for me at least.

Edit: to clarify, in a gts for 100k+ which is esentially 2x the price of a base 911, i don't feel you get 2x the car, not even close. While for 2.3x and a badge change to an italian one, it definitely feels like you get twice the car over a base 911 - and I think that's the problem prosche is facing.

As for the GT3RS, it can't keep up with an old turbo s. You do have a parachute attached to it, for cornering, after all :D

Apparently there IS a limit to what people will pay for Porsches that aren’t 911s…
