Hey all

Picked up a CPO Ice Grey 4S about a month ago. Fantastically spec’d except not a fan of the sport aero wheels it came with.

Have decided on Mission-E’s wheels but can’t quite get a sense of the different variants they come in.

I’ve seen the outer rim in white, a light silver (these seem to be the “standard”), and body color of course. I’d like to have them match body color, but seems the standard silver might be “close enough”

Anyone willing to post pics of their Ice Grey’s with different Mission-E rim colors?

Thanks so much!

I do not have the pictures of Ice Grey, but I drove one and the standard silver does not match and looks odd and the used examples (Volcano, and Carmine) on the lot with these wheels look worn out and dated as in faded/chipped, so even if it would somewhat match, I would not order the standard silver as this coating does not seem to hold up long term. I have one on order and spec'ed the wheels in exterior color of Ice Grey.

You can look at the dealer photos of Carmine and Volcano but there are no close ups of the wheels to see the wear.

Here you go. I love the basic Silver color of the Mission-E wheels next to Ice Grey.

I'm closing in on a private sale Mission E set with white. @SergeyIndy you have a strong opinion on Ice Grey with the white contrast?

I wonder if you could clarify the color to be exact.

Mission Es came in 2 standard colors: All Black or Black with Bright Silver, with Bright Silver not matching any Exterior Color, so the other option was to make the Bright Silver parts to be painted in Exterior Color. This way I ended up with Ice Grey and very first display models where White with Mission Es in matching White.

I do have strong opinion on Bright Silver not matching any light color exteriors and Ice Grey in particular. My recommendation would be to paint the Bright Silver to be Ice Grey.

The wheels I'm looking at would be original painted to match base or Carrera White

Then I do not see an issue with repainting the White to Ice Grey but I would only use Porche certified collision shop with confirmed good quality work of wheel repair/repaint.

The reason is that if I want another wheel, the process is to order it from Germany and it will come in as all Gloss Black, then Porsche certified shop would have to apply Ice Grey elements to match. There is no OEM wheel part that matches exterior body color.

I was thinking of running a white wheel

You can try, of course, and let's see how it looks.
Even with dirty car, no sun, dried tire lube residue.... Mission Es looks stunning with PSCBs
