Opinions please, Lease ending, CPO or extended warranty upon purchase from Porsche?

In September 2020 leased aTaycan 4S, then bought out the lease in August 2023 for 50% residual value. At the same time I bought a 84 month Porsche warranty.
The car has been bullet proof and I am looking forward to owning it as long as feasible.

Are you saying PFS negotiated the buyout price down from what the original lease was?

Since I bought out the lease a few months early, I saved payments + interest.
It was all based on the original residual.

Thanks Sergey, I think that is the best route, just got off the phone with my dealer contact and will be setup for a CPO buyout which they priced at $3200 plus $800 for the inspection. I feel that this is reasonable. I will be itching for a new car by the end of it I’m sure.

Of course he had to confuse me by mentioning he had an allocation for a Cayenne S available for a July build. But I figure I would regret not waiting for the GTS version even if I were to consider and SUV for myself.

Ask if the amount is negotiable. I was quoted $4k as well but was able to bring it down to 2k because my car was still within manufacturers warranty.

It is the US specific protrusions next to the US license plate.

Sergey above removed that and used a Euro part to which he mounted the US plate for a cleaner look.
