Illuminated Porsche Logo

Good morning,

I am after some advice. I have just brought a Taycan 4s on a 21 plate. I believe it have the optional extra of the illuminated Porsche wording at the back which is not working. Can someone please clarify if it the picture is the same as the one that lights up, if it is then it’s not working and I need to get onto the garage as they are say it isn’t supposed to light up, but I think it’s because they don’t want to sort it. 2021 model year Taycans did not have the option for the lighted PORSCHE on the rear center light bar. That options only appeared on J1.2 cars, which was 2025 model year in the US, possibly 2024 in EU.

Hi Matt,

Your dealer is correct... J1.1 versions did not have the illuminated logo. 2021 cars definitely did NOT have this feature.
I had brand new 2020 and 2023 Taycan 4S, and it too did not have the illuminated logo bar. These came about in J1.2 versions.
