Mayfair in London on a Saturday is a Taycan haven

There aren’t too many Taycans to be seen in Norwich. There are a few and it is always good to see another on the road.
Was in London on Saturday visiting some art galleries (my way of unwinding from work) and was in Mayfair. Saw 4 Taycans within the space of about 5 minutes, one red, three black. Turned another corner and two more were parked, both black TurboS.
Not a lot of space for acceleration clearly with speed limits of not much more than walking speed in central London. What is the 0-10mph in a Taycan?
I suppose it was just strange to see so many at once.

There are 47 in (Republic of) Ireland – I get very excited when I see another one – which has happened only once in Cork (waves to the Cork registered Mamba green owner!). I am (at time of print) the only Neptune Blue in the country.

Edit: To put the 47 in perspective – there were 9 "Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid" (my other car) sold here in ten years! Taycan is a rocket-ship by comparison.

I was so excited to see them all. The first time I saw a white one at a roundabout the car behind me beeped at me as I hadn’t moved as I was watching it. Hah!

We drove down to The Connaught in mid-May for a short break and, like you, it was harder not to see a Taycan. There I was thinking we were unique, but it turned out the only way to be unique in Mayfair would have been to show up in a Dacia Sandero.

I think you’ll be alright...the charging infrastructure isn’t good enough up there yet....they’ll take their g wagen’s instead! ?

£15 a day in congestion charge, and in Westminster you get free parking, so another £8 an hour!

That's a fair old saving.

And with more charges being rolled out (B'ham etc) it's going to have a huge impact on used car values in a couple of years.

A used petrol/diesel is going to be a Lot less desirable than an EV - and used values will no doubt reflect that.

I have tried to register my Taycan for the TFL congestion charge site but it can't find my plate. I switched to a private plate about 5 weeks ago and it still doesn't pick it up even though DVLCs site does.

My question is... I thought the Taycan was exempt from Londons CC and low emissions. I wrote to them and they said its exempt from local emissions but I have to pay congestion. I thought that wasn't until 2025?

Anyone know exactly?
