Spoiler Colour

(Still) playing about with colours on the configurator prior to freezing my CT next month.
Has anyone else noticed that the spolier colour has been changed this week from black to body coloured?
I'm not sure I like this.
Anyone know if this is a change for 2022 or a glitch in the configurator?

I hadn't noticed until your post, I am delighted it looks much better to me on my choice of Mamba!

I hope It isn't true for the car I ordered and that will be built one of the coming days.
My order shows a black spoiler.

I also noticed that and was about to post the same question. It's not to my liking as I think that it lengthens the already long roof line. Still best to reserve judgment until I hear the comments of those who have seen it in person.

Good catch - I'm guessing as my July 7th order won't now be in production until early Nov then I too will be getting this change - not sure what to make of it right at first but the more I look at it, it sees to be growing on me ! This rescheduled timeline is really messing with my head.

How strange! It looks pretty cool with the fixed roof but to me seems bizarre with the panoramic roof.

This is a really good point - can't believe I just reviewed my build with the STILL out of date US configurator that does not show the pano-roof but only shows the metal roof!! And you're right with the same color metal roof it makes design sense but with the essentially black pano-roof the all black spoiler much more seamless - dammit!

Not for me at all - think it looks terrible - but fair enough if you like it - mine better not turn up like that

Which version do you mean - new body color or as was in black?

Oh no… hope this hasn’t changed my build. I haven’t checked my configurator yet mind.

I think I’m a rarity as I have not specced the pano roof. I went fixed (I’ve had pano roof on two vehicles before - also have two boys aged under 9 - not a great cleaning experience?)

So my build is gloss black front/rear/windows including 21” gloss black wheels to match the spoiler and additional mamba green colouring from the fixed roof.
Not seen many like it if at all before.

Thought I hit the sweet spot. I best login and hopefully not be horrified.

Fixed for 2 reasons.
I think the car looks SO much better with the painted roof with the ridges matching those on the bonnet.
I generally I have never liked the "radiation on my head" feeling I have had in other cars with a glass roof in the sun, so didn't take the risk that the shielding may be better on a Taycan than previous experience.

Ah great, yeah I like the look, lines and flow too with the fixed. It’s not just kids fingers, black interior/hear and the fact I don’t look up that much ?

I’ve jumped on the Config and seen the change. There is a touch of the gloss black still there. I’m undecided on first glance, I think I like it.
Best I not look too much until the dealer shows my schedule as it was supposed to have been built a few weeks back and only found out about a 4-6 week delay after chasing yesterday.
No idea what the delay is, production, parts or delivery.

Nice catch and thanks for posting. I'm not sure I like it either. Actually kinda prefer the black.

I also notice that the black aluminum roof rails are now noticeably less glossy. I specced the window trim in high gloss for continuity with spoiler and rails. Now, I'm not sure the original black on the CT4 isn't a better choice.
