My 2025 is in the shop for "Active Lane Keeping not currently available"

It happened Sunday which may have been after I washed it. I also drove it later that day and I don't remember seeing the error until I got home.

I tried the what I could think of to fix it: keep the key away for many hours, clean the windshield camera area and the sensors, etc. Nothing has helped so far. Google AI pointed to two potential problems: off gassing on the inside windshield between the camera and the windshield or a specific sensor is off slightly, which could happen if you hit a pothole.

I'm hopeful that the alert triggered for whatever reason (perhaps too much water on the windshield when I was washing it) and, because it could be a safety issue, forces Porsche to clear the error.

I get to test out Los Gatos Porsche again for something small so we'll see how that goes. Oddly enough, 25% of the cars up on the racks were Taycans this morning.

Good Luck! I wasn’t impressed with LG, I personally prefer SC. Downside SC getting a loaner is 2wks out, usually LG you get in next day.

LG does pre a lot of Taycan that are for sale at SC. Usually lease returns.

Had similar issues on my MY2022 4S. It turns out that the sensor assembly (top of windshield) was either incorrectly installed, or perhaps became loose over time when exposed to the elements. They had to change the entire windshield along with the sensor assembly (under warranty). Haven’t had any problems since that time.

That’s pretty intense. While I wouldn’t mind getting a pristine windshield (Porsche glass sucks), mine is ceramic coated

I'm the second owner, but the first only had it for 500 miles... I believe it was a force allocation to get the Porsche he actually wanted (according to my sales guy he "buys several Porsches a year"). I doubt he bothered to wire anything up, but I really have no idea. It has been working for the 7 months I've owned the car.

I cannot tell you how much I hate hearing that.

When I got my first Porsche I was a 28 year old kid. I bought new clothes as I was worried they wouldn't take me seriously. They did, though.

That test drive changed my life and started nearly 30 years of Porsche purchases.

It absolutely disgusts me that they are playing wannabe-Ferrari games.

Try wiping the round ocular lens on the front center bumper below where a license plate would be.

I did try that as well. I didn't notice whether it was cracked, but I certainly didn't feel that it was.

bummer, because I have had that happen and wiping the lens has worked. ouch.

Think of it this way, if ALK is disabled it’s less likely to kill you when it silently shuts off due to faded lane lines.

They finally looked at the car today and have diagnosed that it needs a new driver door latch (to be done Monday morning). Seems odd, like lets try this easy thing before we sink a bunch of money into changing sensors.

I've asked them for the fault codes and they told me it was a direct fault code, that there is a TSB on it: a crimp in the door latch unit.

Edit: Turns out its an SY whatever that is: SY,5773

AI is telling me things line up and it might account for the occasional failure of my remote not locking the car; I assumed that was wireless signal noise, but using the remote open button always worked (the lights flashed).

I had the same problem on my 2025 caused by a faulty driver door lock actuator because it seems there is a possibility this could be triggering some of the electrical errors.

No contact from the service writer on Monday and the car didn’t move (despite messaging him). Finally got ahold of him today and he told me they are waiting on Porsche for the part… funny that he said they have it done Monday morning.

He said that their parts manager has messaged porsche for an update and they usually get back in a day or two. This sounds very much not good and par for the course with Porsche parts.

I asked for the car back (it’s still drivable) until they get the part, both by phone and text, and he’s ignored me since. I’m going to have to show up in person I think.

this experience with Los Gatos will drive me elsewhere now.
