ChargePoint HomeFlex Charger with 2022 Taycan

Mine works just fine. I replaced my Juicebox with one a couple of months ago and could not be happier. The app has enough functionality to get what you need out of it, so if you are thinking of installing one in your garage, I would recommend it.

Brutal efficiency from 1,200 road trip this past weekend in CT4S with WNK1 update

I know I-70 from Kansas City to the junction in central Utah with I-15 like the back of my hand. I could make the drive east or west from Denver blindfolded and know where all the Electrify America chargers are located. If the Electrify America chargers were not spaced 125 miles apart...

Brutal efficiency from 1,200 road trip this past weekend in CT4S with WNK1 update

The more I think it about it think it may be an issue with the car reporting since I got the same efficiency in the same kind of weather - low winds both ways - dropping 4,000ft one way and then recouping the 4,000ft in elevation on the way back doing the same speeds.

Brutal efficiency from 1,200 road trip this past weekend in CT4S with WNK1 update

Appreciate the comments. I have tons of experience with road tripping in the Taycan with bikes on top of my car, and now on the back since I have a CT4S in all types of weather conditions. I was just shocked at the difference in efficiency during the two trips in similar conditions pre and...

Brutal efficiency from 1,200 road trip this past weekend in CT4S with WNK1 update

Honestly, I am not too sure how much that would play in to my drive this past weekend. There is not too much regen, or braking, going on a highway that is close to straight for 550 miles and with light to no traffic. I am going to take a couple of hundred mile drive this weekend, with no...

Brutal efficiency from 1,200 road trip this past weekend in CT4S with WNK1 update

I drove my '22 CT4S with 20 inch wheels and the new WNK1 update from Denver to Lawrence, KS this past weekend. I loaded two bikes that weighed 60lbs max on the back of the car in @bsclywilly's awesome bike rack he made for CT owners. The weather was in the mid-80's, I did not have climate...

how to turn off emergency braking while in reverse?

In the past if the car noticed an object behind me it would beep at me and show it in the reverse camera. I had the WNK1 update done to the car a couple of weeks ago and some setting has been activated that abruptly activates the brakes if it notices something behind me while in reverse. It...

at what point do we stop apologizing for Porsche

I am not a fan of dividing people into camps on this subject. You can love your Taycan, but still expect a better update process from Porsche. There have been a number of posts recently about the update installing process - some good and some just horrible. I had the WNK1 update done to my...

at what point do we stop apologizing for Porsche

That's right!! Thanks for refreshing my memory. I got my first Taycan in the end of April, 2020, and had the dreaded 12v issue in the beginning of June. I shared a lot of what he posted about his 12v experience with my local service team, so they were able to diagnose quickly and get...

at what point do we stop apologizing for Porsche

This thread is like a family reunion - lots of folks from the early days of the Taycan release in March, April, and May 2020. Some of us had the same early build Taycan issues like the 12v battery, so I am glad to see so many people have stuck around and are contributing to this discussion...

at what point do we stop apologizing for Porsche

@daveo4EV : thank you for clarifying your original post since it makes complete sense - we need viable alternatives to Tesla. I guess we will find out how serious Porsche is in regards to EVs in late '23 or early '24 when additional details on the Macan EV come out. Will they finally enable...

at what point do we stop apologizing for Porsche

@daveo4EV : I am usually agree with most of your posts, but you lost me on this one. Have you had other recent issues with your Taycan outside of what you shared? I got the WNK1 update last week and Porsche Littleton did it in less than 6 hours. I have read other posts of dealerships...

"System Meltdown - DC Fast Charging in America" - Video by Kyle of Out of Spec

I agree to a point. These types of videos just feed public frustration on the internet, and does little to move the needle for actual improved uptime. What Kyle, and others on Youtube do not understand is that real progress is made by partnering with local government to help drive expansion...

"System Meltdown - DC Fast Charging in America" - Video by Kyle of Out of Spec

There is absolutely no new information in this video, and the fact that it goes on for an hour and thirty minutes is a testament to a lack of new interesting content to post. Anyone who drives a CCS compatible vehicle knows that the Electrify America has significant challenges, and that the CCS...

Bad EA Day - Dallas <--> Temple TX

I failed to do that this time. I've done Dallas<-->Austin so many times I just wasn't really worried about it. Lesson learned! And I'm driving to TN tomorrow so I will double check my route and look for fallbacks just in case. Good luck on the drive, and hopefully the weather cooperates...

Bad EA Day - Dallas <--> Temple TX

I am surprised that this came as a surprise to you since you have been around for a while, and you have logged some serious miles in your car. Did you not check Plugshare to get charger location status? I will not go anywhere without checking charger status on Plugshare first so I know what...

Porsche Bike Rack (step by step picture of the installation)

Fred: Here are real world efficiency stats when I used Will's custom bike carrier that many of us from this forum have purchased. His bike carrier system is lighter, and less bulky than the Porsche one, but it still has an affect on aerodynamics, and efficiency. Earlier in August, I went...
