"GM, Pilot, & EVgo Made The Best EV Charging Station I’ve Visited Yet" - Article

I don't have much experience with EVGo chargers, but can't two cars charge at the same time of a single cabinet?

"GM, Pilot, & EVgo Made The Best EV Charging Station I’ve Visited Yet" - Article

About the only downside to the station was the cost of using it. EVgo prices are high compared to most other EV charging stations, and even with a discount I get from having a Lyft driver account it was 57 cents per kWh! But, the much better charging environment makes it worth a few extra bucks...

Kyle Conner goes 311 miles in '25 Taycan 70mph range test

In warm temps for sure. But, who wants to put 19's on a Taycan????? I live at altitude with some occasional rough weather. We can't do a RWD drive in Colorado and use the vehicle year round. I think +300 on an all wheel drive Taycan with 21's is phenomenal. That would probably mean you...

Kyle Conner goes 311 miles in '25 Taycan 70mph range test

Yeah, there are lots of people who are clueless when it comes to charging. Unfortunately, many of them drive a car with a max charge speed of 50kW. This is why I tend to road trip on weekdays, so it improves my odds of not going all crazy and yelling at someone charging a Chevy Bolt at a...

Kyle Conner goes 311 miles in '25 Taycan 70mph range test

I will take utilitarian over nothing. in Kyle's new video he just loaded 67kWh in 15 minutes. That is insane. That means less time sitting in a Walmart parking lot.

Kyle Conner goes 311 miles in '25 Taycan 70mph range test

You are complaining about having to charge for 20 minutes in a Walmart parking lot? Good god. At least there is a spot to easily go pee, easy access from an interstate most of the time, and it is usually well lit at night. Outside of major urban areas, the local Walmart provides the only...

Kyle Conner goes 311 miles in '25 Taycan 70mph range test

Everyone makes good points about the looks of the new Taycan, the range improvements, and potential that would have on long distance road trips. I regularly drive my Taycan from Denver to Las Vegas or Phoenix - which is 750 miles/1,200kms or 860 miles/1,350kms - and I knock those drives out in...

Kyle Conner goes 311 miles in '25 Taycan 70mph range test

Yeah, I skipped to the end since I find Kyle's video's to be way too long. The last 5 minutes cover the range test results, and also cover how quickly he charged from 0% to 100% after the test. The larger battery and the new charging system make the Taycan even better of a road tripping...

Kyle Conner goes 311 miles in '25 Taycan 70mph range test

When he made the hyper-mile video he averaged like 40mph and was driving in an urban area with regular street traffic. It is a world of difference when it comes to range if you are going 40mph in town as opposed to 70mph on the highway.

Kyle Conner goes 311 miles in '25 Taycan 70mph range test

As in you feel he should have gone farther? His test vehicle was on 21's and it is a wagon. If he had been on 20's and it had been a sedan he probably would have gone another 10 miles or so.

Kyle Conner goes 311 miles in '25 Taycan 70mph range test

Impressive. I am not sold on the new front, but the updated efficiency, bigger battery, and faster charging speeds, make it hard to not want to upgrade.

Electrify America 2023 Annual report to EPA

I appreciate the well thought out comments. Like you, I enjoy the public policy part of the EV expansion endeavor and have been lucky enough to work with the Colorado Energy Office on a couple of topics. Seems like you should be out in Colorado if you enjoy skiing and a well thought out EV...

Electrify America 2023 Annual report to EPA

I am curious, but can you elaborate your beef with Electrify America? It seems that the majority of your posts on this forum are about Electrify America and complaining about charging. Is it because they only operate one charging location between your home and some hills in Vermont and that...

Texas to California III - Tesla Edition

I am not sure if the app has the ability, but can you put in average speed of the drive so we can see how fast you were going while on the road? Also, can you add peak charging speed? I know the bulk of the route so far is on V2 Tesla super chargers, but was wondering if you were initially...

Tesla fires entire Supercharger team. Elon Musk says Supercharger growth will continue however

Or, maybe you need to ditch the Audi for a Rivian R1S. Then you could use Rivian chargers and Tesla V3 and V4 chargers. Problem solved.

Has anyone driven from Moab to Flagstaff in a Taycan?

This drive from Moab or Telluride over to Flagstaff will probably be the reason why I upgrade to a '25 Taycan CT4s. The drive south from Bluff, UT through Monument Valley is one of the most amazing drives in the entire planet. I have done it a bunch when I drove Range Rovers, but took a 5...

Has anyone driven from Moab to Flagstaff in a Taycan?

You will not make the distance between Bluff, UT and Flagstaff in a Taycan even if you charge to 100% in Bluff and drive 40 or 50mph. The only way to make that distance is to stop to charge a few hours at the J1772 charger at a hotel in Tuba City. It is like 225 miles from Bluff, UT to...
